I wasn’t sure what show to push on you today as I have loved the last two shows that I recorded for @nts_radio & @Mixcloud - but the NTS pips it !

The Message Board Crew were in full effect on Saturday. It is nice to get that interaction when playing music and it was alive so thanks to all of you who we’re getting excited on there.

I spent a large part of last week wading through promos - lots of shit but lots of magical bits by people I’d never heard of, and this show is filled with them…

It’s why I love doing it.

New or obscure artists abound, but all have records I love @Joeyg @mr_beatnick @tigerskin.official and @djdaveangel is back with a solid deep futuristic album full of funk and 21st century soul.

The record that I was most excited about was @goldenboi.co return with “Why Not You Brother?”, which might be even better than his last album.

This Memphis rapper is amazing - deep and soulful, with some killer samples this time around. He’s talking about the state of the world in a brilliant way, and I’m listening !

You need to check it, no one is really following him but every time I play his music the message board lights up (as do I).

Elsewhere, I go back to one of my all time favourite @lennywilliams tracks, @arthurhbaker chops up the @fania_allstars_ to fine effect, Kashif produces @georgebenson, and I dig out the classic by @justinwarfield “BBoys On Acid” - which sounded as incredible as it did all those years ago.

And on the new front ,magic from @hallucinator , jaymznylon, @michaeljblood (now on @peacefrog ??) and more from the brilliant @darrennye. Naturally @izzycofie remix of @bel.cobain is a banger, but it’s got the jazz and a B-LINE !!

It’s a really good roll through some amazing new music with a doff of the cap to the up and coming STOMP night.

The guest list is filling up but please DM me if you want to come and as with Carnival do get there early to guarantee getting in.

The third recent Mixcloud Exclusive show goes up tomorrow. Please follow me here so you don’t miss any of them - I’m going to do a STOMP mix too.

Mr Beatnick - Difference of Birds

Another favourite from Terra Arcana is out today.

Tucked away on the B-side, Difference of Birds shows a more futuristic, electro-tinged side of Nick’s sound and is a nice little taste of where the record goes beyond the first single.

Full LP lands October 9.
Listen and pre-order now.

Hello, Hello, Hello! 🖖🏼👽🖖🏼
I had a little soggy Sunday mix session over the weekend as a little promo for our upcoming party in Bristol this coming weekend.

We're playing a very sensible daytime/early evening set at @theloveinnbristol Stokes Croft for the Last Bus Home @roomtwodjs crew along with our lovely mate Joe Cleen (@mattzimmermann) over from Berlin. Come join us 6pm-10pm Saturday 19th September if you're over that way.

Also look out for some new SB goodness in the mix... A proper classic SB sounding release is in the works from @aribaldandcjscott.

Do you need me to say where the link is? 🙃
