POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m feeling incredibly blessed as this renovation project unfolds, revealing the endless layers of integrity, loyalty, faith, strength, and perseverance within my family.

The renovation began in mid-September with a team that understands the urgency, importance, and deep meaning behind restoring my father’s name and legacy. I see my father’s dream through their eyes as they approach this project with importance, intentionality, and passion.

The dry bones are coming alive ‭‭~Ezekiel‬ ‭37‬:‭5‬-‭6‬. The dream is becoming a reality. A miracle is happening right before my eyes.

Meet, once again, Jean Alerte, our general contractor and project manager from ACA Design & Build, @mralerte , and our realtor, Curtis Quow, from SERHANT®, @curtisquow

Stay tuned and witness our living testimony of God’s faithfulness as Project “Legacy”continues to unfold.

Heavenly Father,

With grateful hearts, we thank You for guiding us through this journey and bringing us to the closing of our construction loan. We recognize that every opportunity, resource, and blessing comes from You.

Thank You for providing the wisdom, favor, and perseverance needed to reach this milestone. We are grateful for the lenders, advisors, contractors, family, and friends whose support helped make this possible.

As construction begins, we ask for Your continued guidance, protection, and provision. Bless the work of every hand involved, give us sound judgment in every decision, and help this project be built with integrity, excellence, and purpose.

May this construction become more than a structure—may it be a place filled with peace, opportunity, and blessing. We dedicate this journey to You and trust You to lead us through every stage.

With humble and thankful hearts, we give You all the glory.

🎓💙 My heart is so full.

Thank you to all 65 of my family, friends, Sorors, colleagues, and supporters who came out on a Sunday evening to celebrate my doctoral journey. After six years of sleepless nights, sacrificed weekends, tears, self-doubt, and moments where I thought I couldn't continue, standing in that room surrounded by so much love reminded me why I never gave up.

My Soror once said, "Show me who's in the room, and I'll show you who you are." Looking around last night, I realized I am blessed to be surrounded by some incredible heavy hitters, leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, and loving souls. Thank you for pouring into me, encouraging me, and giving me strength when you didn't even know I needed it.

Special thanks to:
✨ Lala & Karreel – my right-hand women who always make sure everything runs smoothly.
✨ Nicky – for always making me feel beautiful.
✨ DJ Hard Hittin Harry & DJ JayCee – Haitian All Starz family for LIFE! 🇭🇹
✨ Cammie Cakes – your balloon installation and photo setup set the entire vibe.
✨ Cake Don – for my amazing St. John's graduation cake.
✨ Denise Grant of HacTac Events – for your beautiful desserts, creativity, and unwavering support.
✨ My Blue & White Family of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. – especially my Bronx, NYC, BK Sorors, Grand Soror Dr. Stacie N.C. Grant, and my Usual Suspectz: Trina, Gigi & JoJo. 💙🤍
✨ My PS 38 Baddies – Vanessa, Jessica, Carlina & Milenny.
✨ My lifelong friends Frankie, Danielle & Stacey – thank you for decades of friendship and love.

I am still wiping away happy tears. The memories, advice, prayers, pictures, laughter, and love from last night will stay with me forever.

This degree may have my name on it, but this accomplishment belongs to my village too.

With love and gratitude,

Dr. Barbara DeLaleu 🎓💙✨

Most business owners schedule meetings.

The smartest ones schedule recovery.

Dr. Jean runs a busy contracting business, but still finds time to prioritize his health so he can maintain the energy, focus, and resilience his work demands.

You can’t pour from an empty cup.

Recovery isn’t a luxury.
It’s part of performing at your highest level.
