COMMUNITY IN ACTION! 🧹🎒💜

Last weekend was a reminder of what happens when people come together with a shared purpose🙌🏽

I joined @mrfingaz and @theegeneraljo___ for the Archer Avenue Annual Clean Up near the Jamaica Bus Depot. These two saw a need and turned it into a call to action✨️👏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏾💪🏽

As the new Sanitation Chair for Community Board 12,
I look forward to building on their efforts by engaging #DSNY and community partners to help keep our corridors clean and our neighborhoods thriving. Community partnerships are essential to creating lasting change🙌🏽

I also had the pleasure of attending the D29 Back to School Parade and Festival 2026, alongside Superintendent Dr. Robin Davson @sup_rdavson @robindavson ,here students, parents, school communities, organizations, and volunteers came together to celebrate our children and connect families with backpacks, resources, and support for the school year. 🎉✨️📚📝

Thank you to everyone who showed up, contributed, volunteered, and helped make both events meaningful✨️🙌🏽.

From cleaner streets to brighter futures for our children, it takes all of us working together. Let's continue turning community needs into community action! 💜✨️🙏🏾

@sweeeeeeeeeeetp you moved here bc you fell in love with the culture & the beauty that is our city, and now ten years later you think you know best. This 🤡 has a WHOLE lot of AUDACITY & PRIVILEDGE… Ask Questions, Sweet P, and ask *NEW YORKERS* not other transplants

3 days later… and we’re already back to square one. 🤦🏾‍♂️

we just came together for one of the biggest community cleanups in southeast queens, but cleaning up the trash is only half the battle.

we have to change the mindset too.

if we want cleaner neighborhoods, we all have to do our part to KEEP them clean. 🗽🧹

I started a go fund me to start a non profit organization that will be dedicated to handling these issues in NYC. The link is in my bio! Please show your support by contributing and sharing this message 🙌🏽

Change can start with a conversation or a broom.

This year, through social media, I’ve seen more people from around New York and other cities use their voices and resources to create the communities they’d like to see.

This past weekend, I joined @mrfingaz for the Annual Clean Up of Archer Ave in Southeast Queens, NY. The energy multiplied as he partnered with @theegeneraljo___ , who recently took the initiative to clean up the Nostrand Ave Long Island Rail Road station in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn a few weeks ago.

Dozens of incredible people came from all over New York, bringing brooms, shovels, gloves, and everything needed to help beautify Archer Ave, from Sutphin Blvd to 168th St.

But the real story goes beyond the clean-up.

In this 9-minute video, we talk about the inspiration behind being proactive and taking ownership of the blocks that need extra attention, the importance of using our voices to drive the changes we want to see, and fresh ideas for improving our parks, creating more programs for our high schools, and imagining what the future of community gathering spaces throughout Southeast Queens can look like.

Shout out to everyone who came out and spent a portion of their weekend doing the hard work that will benefit so many people.

After we all cleaned up Archer Ave, I asked myself:

What role does each of us play in helping beautify, maintain, or even hurt the public spaces we all share?

nyc, it’s time to turn this movement into something official. 🗽♻️

you’ve watched me get out there, clean neglected areas, bring attention to conditions across our communities, and push for change.

now i’m taking the next step.

i’ve launched a gofundme to help officially form nyc community cleanup & restoration as a nonprofit organization and cover the costs associated with nonprofit formation, pursuing 501(c)(3) status, required filings, and necessary legal/professional fees.

this fundraiser is about building the legal foundation first so we can grow this mission the right way and continue serving communities throughout nyc.

if you believe in what we’re building, donate if you can. if you can’t, a share can go just as far. 🙏🏽🗽
