In the Hong Kong of decades past, master tailors renowned for their craftsmanship were countless, sending bespoke suits overseas with pride. Yet as times changed, traditional gentlemen’s shops have become rare. Today’s fast‑paced lifestyle may not demand the same formality, but a well‑made suit remains an essential piece in every man’s wardrobe. When it comes to flattering your physique and expressing personal style, nothing beats a tailored suit.

Now, a new menswear destination has opened in Central’s On Lan Street: ANTIQLOCKWISE. Founder and director Jan Tong may be young, but he’s already steeped in years of experience and knowledge in the world of tailoring. GQ Hong Kong sat down with Tang, who shared more about guiding newcomers into the art of bespoke, reflected on the evolution of modern menswear culture, and explained the core aesthetic vision behind ANTIQLOCKWISE.
