Happy 9th wedding anniversary to us! (And 25 years together!) The past couple years have been grief-filled, but I'm deeply thankful that we're in it together. I love you, Greg. #letsbefrank #finallyfrank

Alright friends, it’s that time of year. 🌿

Amongst other actions I'm intentionally starting and stopping, for Lent this year, I’ll be giving up…this. Yes, social media.

No Instagram. No Facebook. No doom scrolling. No telling myself that “I will just check one thing” then emerge 47 (or more) minutes later having done a deep dive into someone’s cousin’s vacation photos from 2018.

From now until Easter, I’ll be fasting from posts, memes, reels, stories, and whatever else Mark Zuckerberg wants to get us hooked on.

I plan to use the time for reflection, prayer, wading thru grief, and some self-improvement. ☮️

If you need me, try texting. Or calling. Like it’s 2007. (You can also comment on The Greg's IG or FB and he will eventually relay the message.)

Pray for my thumbs. They’re used to cardio. 😉 Instead, I'm going to join another gym and do cardio for the rest of me. Let's hope this gym doesn't go out of business like my last one! 🤦‍♀️

See you on the other side. ✌️ Photo of Christiane and Greg in church on Ash Wednesday with ashes on their foreheads. Text added to the photo says, "For Lent this year, I've decided to - amongst other actions - take a break from social media."

I only want 🧊 in my coffee and margaritas, thanks!

There were about a hundred of us on the sidewalk outside a Hilton-owned hotel here in Mira Mesa. That venue was intentional as @hilton upheld 🧊 reservations in Minnesota.

We were joined by our District 6 San Diego City Council Member Kent Lee @cmkentlee and got coverage from local news outlets, including KPBS. The protest was entirely peaceful ☮️ and I only noticed one person giving us the thumbs down sign.

ps. Your favorite 'paid protestor' is still looking for my check...is it in the mail? 😉 (Yes, that's sarcasm. I'm not a paid agitator, paid protestor, or a domestic terrorist.)

Enjoyed the bracing water and lots of sun yesterday afternoon at Torrey Pines State Beach. 64° water temperature got the blood pumping!

It only took about 50 texts, one reschedule, then 2 restaurants that were not actually open today. But we persevered! We're pretty sure we haven't seen each other IRL since before the pandemic, and we're not going to let that much time pass before we do this again!!

100% peaceful. ☮️
If you have ever believed me, please do so again. This protest was entirely peaceful and law-abiding.✌️
To those who called this the "Hate America Rally" (I literally heard that said on a so-called-Christian 'news' program yesterday.), nothing could be further from the truth!
I love America. ❤️🇺🇸 Patriotism & service are core 'family values' in the Hoffman and Frank families. If you know us but at all, you know this to be true. Please don't believe the misinformation out there.

(I was bummed I couldn't be in downtown SD with so many of my friends but I'm on 'Mom Duty' this week so could only get away for a short amount of time for the protest in my neighborhood.)

Taylor speaks for me. 🤷‍♀️ Gotta (re)start somewhere.
Also, photo # 3 is probably my muscles' expression about working out in a gym.

Friday evening drinks & nibbles on Mister A's "back back" as 'Barold' called it.😉🥃🍷 We love spending time with Michael & Barry, and the views from up here aren't too shabby either! 🤩

Daddy, as I wish for you every year, I hope your heavenly birthday includes a highlight reel of Navy beating Army and a round of golf that's just 18 holes-in-one! The dinner menu will feature steak cooked medium rare paired with red wine from your Napa Valley birthplace. It'll be followed by ice cream, of course. Cocktail hour must begin with, and I quote, "a Manhattan on the rocks heavy on the sweet Vermouth."
Cheers to you, #CaptainDad
We miss you so much around here.

A wonderful way to celebrate International Women's Day and the founding of the Junior League of San Diego back in 1929 with our annual Charter Day luncheon. We heard from our president Ilo Neukam and an inspiring panel of past presidents of our organization from the 70s (Tommi), 80s (Susan), 90s (Kathleen), 2000s (Debbie), and 2010s (Rachel). And the beautiful San Diego sunshine came out to make our views from the University Club even better! ☀️Loved sharing the event with Joanna, Shelly, and Jen! #whyijlsd ❤️🖤
