Mahjong, sunshine, and sister time ♟️🩵

Our February ATX ZTA event was such a fun one, thank you to our sister @am328 for teaching us the art (and strategy!) of Mahjong, and to @raspi2000 for hosting such a perfect day. Learning something new together and spending time like this is what makes our sister events so special.

March is right around the corner with our makeup lesson coming up… and trust us, you won’t want to miss out ✨

Last night we got together on Zoom for a career networking session, and it was such a win! We picked up amazing tips and real-world insights from our very own @bratkinson__ , a corporate recruiting leader at Apple. 🍎 ✨

Huge thank you to Brooke for pouring into our sisterhood and helping us level up professionally. Grateful for this powerhouse group (missing one sister who had to hop off early because the rest of us couldn’t stop chatting💗).

My @ztafraternity family started at @wt.zta with my Big @p.knipp and my pledge/new member sister and bestie @shemecarichard . Then I moved to Austin and expanded my circle to my awesome @atxzta and Williamson County alumnae friends. In 2018, my “real life” niece @zaddisen became my sister. And in 2021, I further expanded the circle as a National Officer with my fellow Texas and U.S. Alumnae National Officers!

As I approach year 25 as a ZTA, our sisterhood is definitely timeless!

It feels like yesterday I went through fall recruitment at West Texas A&M. It wasn’t something I originally truly considered pursuing. I went through recruitment (as a sophomore because I had to be unique and stuff!) with a dear friend of mine (who ended up becoming a part of another great NPC sisterhood but not ZTA) I met at my junior college I attended prior. I love all my experiences as a collegiate member like recruitment, Sing and serving as a recruitment counselor. However, the timeless element of ZTA didn’t hit until I became an alumna.

After college, I moved eight hours away to Austin, Texas and received a card in the mail to attend the Austin ZTA alumnae’s kickoff event at now ZTAF President (then Austin alumnae chapter president) @ztafpres house. I had an amazing time and got connected to a wonderful group of women! In addition to making friendships for a lifetime in college, I have experienced that same sense of welcome among my friends in the Austin alumnae chapter. And my sisterhood circle has grown even more in the past few years as a DP! I have loved being connected to my Texas and nationwide DPs and all the alumnae I have met in District 11-B in the past three years!

And ZTA is now a family affair for me! My oldest niece @zaddisen was a part of the 2018 Delta Eta (West Texas A&M) new member class! One of my fav memories is pinning her during her initiation!

ZTA truly is timeless and forever!

And gotta love my name was so misspelled on one of my composites😂

Zisters, if you are so inclined join me this weekend during the #ZTADayofGiving! I can provide you more details as well! Ztadayofgiving.org

Had a wonderful time last night honoring some of our White Violet (50-year) members of @ztafraternity in the Austin area. I have known Kathy Caskey (in the lovely green sweater!) for several years and just met Karen and Liz recently. It was also super fun to celebrate @dlaughery as our “newish” National President along with our Certificate of Merit (at least seven years of significant service to ZTA) and ZTA Lady winners. Thank you again to all the people who helped put this event together- like @genieatx @segiles !
