I used to go to sound baths monthly at Pink Yoga Studio in Hilton Village. Sadly that place is no more. Heather has filled that void for me. It’s a deep restorative reset. I always take the best nap after it. But Heather also let me teach a pose during her class. And it was super fun. Matt from Soulage Baltimore taught me how to do a 90 90 to a Pigeon pose using a front platformer bolster. If you find Pigeon precarious or straining it’s the most comfortable way of doing the pose I have found. Thanks to Matt for teaching me. And Heather for a few minutes of he spot light. It felt good.

I was floored with how fun this class was. Matt Rossoff lead us through a series of flows in Yin. He limited big setup changes. We weren’t in Table Top or Child Pose one second of the class. His approach was creative and thoughtful. The class was crowded. We might have been able to fit one more body in that studio. There was like a two inch gap between mats. If you are ever in Downtown Baltimore give Soulage a visit.

The Ingrahams started our morning with a reset by visiting @soulagebaltimore where we were guided in an intimate group workout session by a dear friend at @mryogamatt studio

Daily movement is not optional. It’s biological maintenance.

After 6–8 hours of sleep, circulation is slower, joints are stiffer, and your nervous system is shifting from rest to alertness. Five to ten minutes of intentional morning stretches and light mobility increases blood flow, distributes synovial fluid in joints, activates fascia, and primes your metabolism.

When paired with controlled breathing, it lowers stress reactivity and improves focus. Light movement also supports BDNF production — a key protein for brain health and cognitive performance.
