It’s the simplicity for me!! I believe a pregnant doesn’t need much to make her feel special !! She is special, she is enough and even a simple 5 yard of plain chiffon fabric can make you feel SPECIAL !!

@ms.twocents “Cheers to all the women who gave up wine for 9 months*

Here's providing some comic relief to all your badass mama's this mothers day. Reasons why mom's are superheroes:

1. Moms have gone through pregnancy and childbirth:That in itself is pretty badass and self explanatory.

2. We've survived sleep deprivation: The kettle may well be in the fridge and the door keys are nowhere to be found, and we may not remember why we walked into the room, but everyone’s still alive despite the longest stretch of sleep we’ve had in weeks being about 40 minutes. (Winning at life I'd say)

3. We are fast learners: With little to no preparation mom's learn quick! From learning how to bring a spoon to our mouths to peeing in the toilet who knew it took SO much for us to grow into functioning adults. Its a steep learning curve and we get thrown into the deep end and thrive!

4. We can hold a pee in for ages if the alternative is waking up a sleeping baby but we can’t sneeze safely, and we definitely shouldn’t go trampolining.

5. We are skilled multi-taskers: Breastfeeding whilst eating toast,listening to a podcast and simultaneously scrolling through Instagram? Easy.
We also have the ability to hold a conversation whilst always keeping one eye on our child.

6. We are eternally optimistic: What else would you call spending 30 minutes of your life making a new meal that deep down you know your child will refuse to eat, if not optimism?

7. We are patient: For every show we’ve sat through and clapped at the end, for every pointless story we’ve been told at length , for every song we've heard for the 80th time we deserve some serious props!

8. We love unconditionally and our kids know that which is why they are usually a**holes around moms. Because they feel safe to act out around us..we are their safe space.

9. Because at the end of it all, we still wake up the next day knowing well enough it's going to be groundhog day but you power on anyway with the same grit and love in your heart.

10. I was going to go for 10 reasons but mom life beckons (you get it right?) I'll just end by saying..Mom's here to you 🥂”

"*An ode to early mornings*

I have never been a morning person or for that matter a night owl either! It's safe to say I LOVE my sleep!
Motherhood however had me chasing after just a few hours of that hugely sought after 'elusive sleep.' Left with no choice, I was forced to embrace my early morning wakings and find joy in my new routine. My sweet baby girl's giggles were helping me sail through my caffeine-fueled mornings. How I envied my husband for getting that extra hour of sleep before he could jet off to work!

One year postpartum and I can happily report that I have come to enjoy my mornings. I've found solace in the stillness of the morning sun, gratitude for having someone to wake up for and most importantly sanity in my first sip of coffee!

Becoming a morning person quite literally did not happen 'overnight' and on a scale of a zombie walking to that annoying overzealous chipper morning person I'd say I am slowly leaning to the latter. Oh and waking up to the sweetest face every morning makes every waking hour so totally worth it!"
