TODAY IS OUR 17TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY‼️ We got married on 9/11 with the goal of bringing some positive memories to this tragic and devastating date after what happened to our country 25 years ago! Nobody is perfect and nothing is perfect! Life is full of pros and cons but the goal is to have way more pros than cons! (mission accomplished) Here’s the real flex, not that we’ve been married for 17 years but in that 17 years we’ve married and counseled several couples and they’re all still married as well! Today a Gemini was born. We will forgive her for that but celebrate her life and all the shine she brings me and our family. My Sissy is beautiful in all the ways you can see but gorgeous in all the ways most can only wish to be. I am thankful He gave me you. Joy is this life with my built in bestie and all the mountains we scaled and all those still to come. Happy Birthday Sissy! Cheers on “23”🎉🍾🥳

I invited an intimate group of friends and family to celebrate my birthday with dinner off the Amalfi Coast but what they didn't know was that I told my planner and team that I wanted to shower them with gifts and honor them for playing a special part in my life and keeping me inspired when times have been hard. The theme "Black Excellence"....

I thought only 8-10 people would show but 31 people flew across the world from Detroit, St.Louis, Mississippi, LA, Dallas, Chicago and New York to celebrate my 40th 😳

My amazing planner @oliviasodi_wed and her team were able to find the best venue @palazzoavino off the top of the mountain with the best views and Michelin Star food that we would never find in the States. I asked for a cigar and whisky lounge and said "I want my friends to feel like Royalty because every individual is VERY special to me" and she did just that.. 🙌🏾

I told hello@tmichelleevents.com my group travel agent that I wanted to get boats for everyone to cruise around Capri for the day. She also arranged sprinters and busses for transportation along with helping them book their accommodations.

I told @lepenndesigns that I wanted all the save the dates, invites and stationary to be an experience. And sis did more than that... (Le'trice would you believe the welcome sign and other trinkets are still stuck at customs 😥)

Personalized placecards, gift boxes, cigar cases, whisky glasses and YSL colonge/perfume bottles all handmade by my sister Carmen 💕

The 2nd band @helentesfazghiofficial whom I saw online weeks before the event and stalked, begging Olivia that we do whatever to get them to perform. I cut the liquor budget in half to get them. Worth every stalking moment 🤣

@nancystylesby from ATL did her Thang with my hair 😘

And 2 (1-1) makeup classes from @itstiaradarling @antonioamonbeauty . they would be proud on how I contoured the hell out of my face 🤣

We shopped, laughed, drank a ton of wine and smoked every Italian cigar we could touch. My heart is so freakin full. I've cried every day for the past week and a half just thinking about how blessed I am to have this village.
