A recap of my week at the Presidential Villa.

I was invited to be part of the She’s Included: 2nd National Gender Inclusion Conference 2026, held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. She’s Included is a gender inclusive initiative under the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria, convened by the Presidential Committee on Economic and Financial Inclusion (PreCEFI) and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs.

I got to meet and connect with people from different parts of the world and across different fields, have conversations I wouldn’t ordinarily have, exchange ideas, learn, and reconnect with some familiar faces. It was also a great opportunity to build new connections and engage with people whose work and perspectives I found really interesting.

Definitely one of those experiences I’m grateful to have been part of.

A book you’ve finished could be the book someone else has been waiting for.

This August, Farinruwa Foundation is turning forgotten books into new possibilities as we embark on our Community Library Book Drive.

So, check your shelves. Check those old schoolbooks your children have outgrown. Check the novels you’ve read and probably won’t read again.

If they’re still in good condition, they can find a new home, a new reader, and a new purpose.

Donate a book. Donate several. Help us build a library.

📍 Abuja Drop-off Point:
Strobrie Café, Garki

Outside Abuja?
We have collection partners in different parts of Nigeria who will receive your books and help get them to us. Please check our flier for details.

If you’d like to support the project through volunteering, financial contributions, or your skills, kindly reach out to us via our website in bio or call +234 703 6821 654

*We’re counting on you.*🙏🏾
