Next stop: Mississippi.

A new feed mill is taking shape for Mississippi State University.

In this project update, we take a closer look at the design of the modular feed mill that will soon support poultry research, education and hands-on training at MSU’s H.H. Leveck Animal Research Center.

Designed for controlled and repeatable production, the installation will cover key processes from grinding and mixing to pelleting and bagging, with a planned capacity of 2 to 3 tons per hour.

What makes this project stand out is its purpose. This feed mill will become a practical environment where students, researchers and industry partners can test ideas, build knowledge and contribute to the future of poultry nutrition and feed manufacturing.

The design is ready. The next steps are already underway.

From California to North Carolina - and everywhere in between - staying connected to the issues shaping our industry starts with listening.

USPOULTRY recently welcomed representatives from our state affiliate associations, along with department heads and assistant department heads from the six poultry science schools in the United States, for our annual meeting. Together, we shared updates on the latest challenges, opportunities and emerging issues impacting the poultry and egg industry across the country.

These conversations strengthen collaboration between industry and academia, helping ensure USPOULTRY continues to serve our members with relevant programs, research, recruitment and resources that reflect the needs of every region. Thank you to everyone who joined us and for your continued partnership in advancing our industry! 🐔🐓🐤🥚🦆🦃

This week we’re at @msstate Sausage Linking 101 with an awesome group of processors from around the region.

No matter how long you’ve been making sausage, there’s always another trick, technique, or perspective worth picking up.

Huge thanks to Mississippi State, Reiser, AC Legg, and Winpak for putting this class together and continuing to invest in our industry.

Iron sharpens iron. Let’s make some sausage. 🌭🤘
