๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒŽ๐ŸŒExcited to show some work ๐Ÿ‡

@neptuneinjune.ny โค๏ธAnnouncing our upcoming exhibition in Port Chester, NY at @thelinenfactory181 โœจ

Canโ€™t Take My Eyes Off You
Reception: May 8 (7-9 pm)

Open Studios: May 8, 4-8 pm & May 9, 12-5 pm

Maya Strauss is an interdisciplinary painter. She lives in Alphabet City in Manhattan. Everyday, she takes photographs and collects objects and surfaces that seem to have a visual uniqueness. Often the subjects she choses are things that are being overlooked because of their seeming banality, but that she believes hold a specific history within them. She received a BFA from The Cooper Union, and an MFA from the Yale School of Art. Strauss has attended multiple residencies including the Vermont Studio Center, and the Byrdcliffe Guild. She has been included in art exhibitions at Studio e Gallery in Seattle, Warbling Collective in London, MoMa PS1 in Queens and NADA Ceramics in Manhattan. She has had solo exhibitions at Bobโ€™s Gallery and Sweet Lorraine Gallery.

The exhibition also features work by @sadafazadehfar @benjamin.dimock @yokosnoopy Adrian Gray @amadeo_mf @artelliemurphy @katequarfordt @joanreutershan @streetmax21
