A heartfelt thank you to Supervisor Chris Parlier and Supervisor Leticia Perez for each awarding $3,500 to CAPK’s Good Neighbor Crew, for a total of $7,000 in support of this important program.

We’re also grateful to the County of Kern for investing in efforts that empower our communities and create lasting impact. Thank you for believing in the work we do!

Another successful food distribution made possible by the power of community! 🙌🏻🍊🍎

This month, with the help of nearly 26 amazing volunteers, we were able to distribute 12,620 pounds of food to 288 families in our community. Thanks to their dedication, time, effort, kindness and compassion, hundreds of families received access to nutritious food and support. This makes a meaningful difference in the lives of so many around the community.🫶🏻

We also want to extend our sincere appreciation to @capkfoodbank for supplying the food that makes these distributions possible, and to @mstreetnavigationcenter for assisting with cleanup after the event. Your support and partnership help us continue serving families in need.

Together, we are creating a stronger, healthier, and more connected community, one act of kindness at a time. Thank you for being part of this mission, and we look forward to seeing you at our next distribution on July 16th! 🧡🧡#eastbakersfield #community #fooddistribution #foodinsecurity #childrenfirst
