We’re celebrating the incredible landscapes we get fully immersed in during our 7-day Highlands odyssey. No bikes, no riders, just the stunning scenery and backdrops our group captured during September's Cairngorms & Torridon Epic. Okay, a little fib... can you spot Liz and Sean on the bedrock of Heartbreak Ridge? 😊 (Thanks, Jez!) There was frequent chat and comments each day from Frank, Roy, Jez, Nick, and Bob centered around the world-class scenery and the feeling of never wanting to leave! A true bucket list trip. 2027 dates going live soon. Joining us? #MarmaladeMTB #Highlands #ScotlandMTB #Torridon #MTBHolidsys

Sgòr Gaoith | Day 2 | 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 One big climb, one 9km descent! What a way to kick-off our big mountain riding this week. A big thanks to Jez, Roy, Frank, Bob and Nick who took on this Cairngorm classic and loved every second of it. We didn't get the big revealing view at the summit, but the misty conditions added to the adventure. And as for the 9km drop back down... Just so much fun on the rocks, scree, peat bog, boulder fields and woodland singletrack. Bring on day 3... #MarmaladeMTB #Cairngorms #ScotlandMTB #MTBHoliday

WOMEN IN SPORT… ⬇️ Reflecting on a week of seeing amazing content of incredible women in sport, after “that ad” I think you’ve all seen by now… 🤔 At first, seeing all the strong women achieving amazing things, at the top of their game, got me all fired up and inspired and I totally understand that was most likely the intention… but I also noticed I started to feel a bit “less than” and “not good enough”… thinking, I’m not achieving all these “great” things, I’m just trying to be the best human I can be, juggling work, life and fitness through the sports I love… and I wondered whether anyone else might be feeling the same… ?!? I want to add in to the pot of all the advert responses, that women in sport does NOT mean you have to be the best, the fastest, the fittest, the strongest, to be recognised as a women in sport! 💫 If you find JOY in your sport, it makes you feel good, it positively impacts your wellbeing, and ripples to improve relationships and other elements in your life… AND it encourages you to connect with nature, and you find the JOY in that too… those are the BIGGEST WINS in my eyes!!! 🫶🏼 Let’s redefine what we mean by “the best” and recognise the efforts and sacrifices that we all have to make to enjoy our sports - especially when we’re not professional athletes! 👊🏻 So here’s a random selection of women having fun in their sports, which made me smile when I look back at them… 😊 Anyway, I hope this resonates and helps in some way… if you’ve had similar thoughts, then clearly you’re not alone! Unless it’s just me?!? I’d love to hear some thoughts on this… 😍

New dates for 2027 are coming soon for the return of our newest Scottish adventure. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Back in mid-August, Sue, Gaynor, Mark, Paul and Jim became our very first group to sample four days of riding in Liz's back yard over in #DumfriesAndGalloway. Our final day was all about the sublime singletrack and remote goodness of #AeForest. Naturally, a trip to a Seven Stanes venue wouldn't be complete without hunting out the stone for a group photo. 📸 Drop a comment below if you fancy joining us for this four-day trip next summer. 👇 #MarmaladeMTB #SevenStanes #MountainBikeScotland

Forest to Coast on Day 3 of our new Dumfries and Galloway trip! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🚵 This day offers true geographical variety, linking the unique trail centre environment with the rugged coastal landscape. Liz showed the group the distinctive granite-strewn trails of Dalbeattie Forest, tackling its technical slabs and famous rock features that require pinpoint precision. From the trail centre, they transitioned onto quieter forest tracks and bridleways, climbing high above the coast and the Urr Estuary, making their way toward the beautiful sailing village of Kippford. Dropping down to the village waterfront for a well-earned break and refreshments – before taking an alternative, super fun loop back inland toward Dalbeattie. A fun, varied ride that perfectly encapsulates the diverse landscape of the region. We are close to launching 2027 dates, are you excited about booking your spot on next year's trip? #MarmaladeMTB #DumfriesAndGalloway #MTBTrip #ScotlandMTB

Happy 10th Birthday #MarmaladeMTB! Sometimes it's nice to pause. Hit the brakes. Get off the bike. Enjoy the view and raise a glass with the friends you share the trails with. So it was that in May – exactly 10 years to the day since the very first Marmalade MTB ride – we returned to our beloved #SurreyHills. This time, it was for more than just a ride – but for a celebration of our first decade. We had so much fun that we've wrapped it all up in a blog post, video and photo album. SKILLS FOR THE TRAILS. TOOLS FOR THE MIND. This is what A Day of Flow is all about 💫 It’s a two way thing. So why have one coach when you can have TWO!!! 😅 Jen @mindful.routes and Liz @mtbtrailskills When we build our skill set on the bike, we build confidence to tackle features… but if our mind is a barrier, it doesn’t matter how much you learn ON the bike, if you tell yourself you can’t, shouldn’t, won’t… then you probably won’t! So we will support you to get that balance right between building skills as well as the mindset tools to empower you on and OFF the trails! 👌🏼 You’ll be amazed by what you learn and take away long after the day is over… Sound good?!? Curious… You can read more on my website, link is in my bio ⬆️ There are limited spaces left, so please book in soon! 🗓️ Sunday 13th September 📍 Glentress, Tweed Valley, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Any questions, just ask 👌🏼 💕 Jen & Liz 💕

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Where are your favourite spots to ride in Scotland? We are massive fans. Our Scotland specialist Liz lives and breathes the trails of this amazing country, from the Highlands to the Tweed Valley – and of course her four-day Dumfries and Galloway trip – new for 2026. Fellow Level 3 guide Sean often heads north to co-lead with Liz in the mountains and glens. And the rest of the #MarmaladeMTB team grab a dose of Scottish magic whenever they can. (Clive is up there right now enjoying some time off). So, where in #Scotland have you ridden?

International Women's Day, so of course we're posting about the women of the Marmalade community! In a sport that can often be perceived as being a male domain, we celebrate the fact that Marmalade is blessed with women who love to ride, explore and challenge themselves... – Guides and coaches like Liz, Rachel, Rachael, Claire, Bex and Rhonda – Our suppliers and partners across Surrey, Sussex and the UK's National Parks, where plenty of female-led businesses help us deliver our experiences And of course... – YOU. The female riders – aged 9 to sixty-something – who enjoy the trails with us, encouraging each other, riding in rain and shine, and being part of this sport we love so much. Thank you! #MarmaladeMTB #InternationalWomensDay #IWD #IWD2026 #InternationalWomensDay2026
