A beat. A moment. A connection to something bigger. When Melo Kan heard the production from THX, he didn’t chase a concept or force a message. He let go and let the music lead. What came out was “Infinite Wisdom.” No formula. No boundaries. Just a stream of consciousness shaped by life, experience, and something he couldn’t quite explain. MELO KAN: IRL | EPISODE 1 • DROP 3 MEET THE LITES. 🎤 Same truth. Different energy. Melo Kan has always made what he calls life music. Music about the things we’ve lived, the lessons we’ve learned, and everything in between. But with The Lites, he’s bringing another side of that storytelling. More personality. More fun. More reasons to turn the music up and enjoy life. And they didn’t just show up. They showed OUT. 🔥 Real musicians. Real chemistry. The kind of sound you don’t just hear. You feel. We’re bringing that feeling back to music. COMING NEXT: Before you hear Infinite Wisdom, we’re getting into the story behind it. What inspired Melo to write it? What was he going through? And why did he need to say it? LIFE MUSIC. NOT JUST RAP. FREEMYNDS STUDIOS PRESENTS: MELO KĀN IRL EPISODE 1 | DROP 2 — LIFE MUSIC Some rappers tell you what they have. Others tell you what they’ve lived. Melo Kān calls what he creates “Life Music.” The struggles. The victories. The mistakes. The lessons you don’t learn until life makes you pay attention. This is hip-hop with something to say. In Drop 2, we get into who Melo is as an artist, revisit his 2022 album EPU2: King Amongst Nikkas, and discuss the journey to his latest release, 2BH (To Be Honest) — available now. But the music is only part of the story. We’re introducing The Lites, a collective of artists bringing musicianship, storytelling, and live performance back to the forefront. We’ve already filmed an intimate, Tiny Desk-inspired performance, and we’re beginning to release three songs from 2BH. And in the final drop of this episode, we’re taking you inside “Infinite Wisdom” — the music, the meaning, and the mind behind it. Because sometimes the most important reason to create isn’t the money. It’s getting what’s inside you out into the world. 🎬 WATCH THE FULL EPISODE NOW FreeMynds Studios on YouTube. The conversation is just the beginning. The music is coming to life. LITTLE BALLS. BIG HISTORY. EVEN BIGGER FLAVOR. 🔥⚜️ Bonjour Ma Babies!!! Chef Jacinta got in that kitchen and started rolling up something SERIOUS. CODFISH BALLS, Ma Babies! 😮‍💨 Golden on the outside. Full of flavor on the inside. And apparently, impossible to stop eating once you start. 😂 But here’s what makes this dish special. Long before refrigerators, people preserved cod with salt. Over generations, cooks across the Caribbean and beyond turned that humble ingredient into something extraordinary. That’s the beauty of food history. What started as preservation became tradition. What became tradition became somebody’s favorite childhood memory. And Chef Jacinta is keeping the conversation going, one delicious bite at a time. NOW WE GOT A QUESTION: Where are our codfish ball people at?! 👀 Did your family make these? What did y’all call them? And who made the BEST ones? We want to hear those stories in the comments. 👇🏾 Every recipe has a story. Every ingredient has a history. We don’t just cook—we pass it down. MY CREOLE TABLE | FOOD. HISTORY. SOME THINGS YOU CREATE FOR MONEY. OTHERS YOU CREATE BECAUSE YOUR SOUL WON’T LET YOU KEEP THEM INSIDE. 👑 FREEMYNDS STUDIOS × MELO KĀN: IRL | EPISODE 001 Infinite Wisdom: The Art of Doing It for Yourself. Before the stages. Before the streams. Before the next big opportunity… there’s the reason we started creating in the first place. We took it back to something simple: an early morning in Redondo Beach, fishing with family, catching up with an old friend, and having the kind of conversations that remind you why art matters. Melo Kān pulled up to spend the morning with Millard, Dannay, Mansa, and cousin Raymond as we prepare for the next chapter of his musical journey. And what started as a fishing trip turned into a conversation about purpose, perseverance, creative freedom, and the wisdom that only comes from living. We get into Melo’s latest album, 2BH (To Be Honest), introduce his collective The Lites, and explore the story and creative process behind “Infinite Wisdom,” including an intimate live performance from our Tiny Desk-inspired sessions. But the most important part of this episode isn’t about an album. It’s about understanding that your art doesn’t always have to make you money to be worth making. Sometimes you write because you need to heal. Sometimes you create because you have something to say. Sometimes the reward is simply knowing you didn’t leave your gift buried inside you. We’ve been making music videos and telling stories together since 2014. Now we’re opening a new chapter, bringing the cameras into real life, and inviting you along as we build toward new music, live shows, and everything still ahead. No manufactured moments. No industry masks. Just family, friendship, music, and the truth. 🎬 WATCH EPISODE 001 — MELO KĀN IRL 🎧 Stream 2BH and listen to “Infinite Wisdom” on Apple Music and your preferred streaming platform. NO OVEN?! MA BABIES… THE LEMON IS DOING THE WORK. 🍋👀 Bonjour Ma Babies!!! Chef Jacinta is making her No-Bake Lemon Pie, and this is exactly why we say food gets more interesting when you understand what’s actually happening in the bowl. 🍋 Fresh lemon. 🥛 Creamy filling. 🥧 Crust. 🔥 NO OVEN. And that lemon isn’t just there for flavor. The acidity from the lemon helps change the structure of the dairy proteins, helping that filling become thicker and creamier. Translation in Jacinta language: “Ma Baby, just squeeze the lemon.” 😂🍋 That’s the beauty of recipes like this. Our mothers, grandmothers, aunties and elders didn’t need to stand in the kitchen giving chemistry lectures. They just knew IT WORKED. And generations later, we can finally look at the food they passed down and understand that there was science sitting right beside the tradition the whole time. That’s My Creole Table. We’re not here just to show you what Chef Jacinta cooks. We want to discover WHY. Why does it work? Where did it come from? Who passed it down? And what memories are hiding inside it? Because a recipe is never just a recipe. So Ma Babies… Who made the lemon pie in YOUR family? 🍋❤️ And be honest: Whipped cream on top… YES or NO? 👇🏾😂 Every recipe has a story. Every ingredient has a history. We don’t just cook—we pass it down. My Creole Table — Food. History. Y’ALL KNEW EGGPLANT WAS A FRUIT AND DIDN’T TELL MILLARD?! 😭🍆 Bonjour Ma Babies!!! Chef Jacinta grew up eating fried eggplant in New Orleans, but says she rarely sees people cooking it this way since she’s been in California. So naturally, we had questions. And somehow we ended up discovering: 🍆 EGGPLANT IS A FRUIT. Actually… botanically, it’s a BERRY. 🤯 It develops from a flower and contains seeds—which puts it on the fruit side of the botanical family tree. Meanwhile Chef Jacinta is looking at us like: “Okay… but are y’all gonna let me FRY IT?” 😂 And fry it she did. 🔥 Golden. Crispy. Seasoned. And connected to something she remembers eating back home in New Orleans. That’s why we love doing this. Sometimes we come for the recipe and discover a whole other story hiding inside the ingredient. 🍆 Did YOU know eggplant was a fruit? 🔥 And have you ever had it FRIED? Tell Chef Jacinta in the comments. 👇🏾 Every recipe has a story. Every ingredient has a history. We don’t just cook—we pass it down. #MyCreoleTable #BonjourMaBabies #FriedEggplant #Eggplant #NewOrleansFood CreoleCooking SouthernFood FoodHistory DidYouKnow LouisianaFood FreeMyndsStudios
