POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Everything I knew about professional acting flipped when I treated my career as a business.

I was going into this industry blind. I knew I had high goals as an actor, but I didn’t fully understand how to strategically position myself to important decision makers and be taken seriously.

Then @its.artsy.abby recommended I join this acting mentorship program led by a WORKING actor seen on major network shows (OBX, Will Trent, Them). All about the BUSINESS of acting. It was exactly what I was looking for at the right time early on in my career and has been a true game changer since.

And now, I’m excited to share my acting accomplishments as a speaker at our upcoming FREE LIVE WEBINAR for professional actors.

If you’re a TV/film actor — especially a South Asian or Indian actor — who wants to build a more strategic acting career, you don’t want to miss this informational event.

“PLACES” SHORT FILM PT. 2 🎭

Places follows Priya, a South Asian high school junior who has just walked away from the future everyone expected her to pursue. Raised in an environment where success meant good grades, stable careers, and practical choices, she quietly trades the certainty of mock trial for the uncertainty of theater. But stepping into the rehearsal room doesn’t feel liberating at first—it feels isolating. One of the only South Asian students in the club, Priya can’t shake the feeling that she’s entered a space where she doesn’t quite belong.

Directed by Trey Walker/Andrew Fincham and written by Rhea B, Places is an intimate cultural drama about identity, belonging, and the invisible conversations that shape a life. Rhea B delivers a restrained, deeply personal performance as Priya, opposite Justice Nixon as Evan, whose openness becomes the catalyst for her transformation.

“PLACES” SHORT FILM PT. 1 🎭

During an ordinary rehearsal break, a conversation with fellow actor Evan changes everything. As he reflects on how stories of his mother’s difficult upbringing taught him that life is too fragile to spend pretending to be someone you’re not, Priya begins questioning the assumptions she’s carried for years.

Fun time with the crew in Washington DC!

We had to figure out the best gear to take to DC to light Day 1 interviews, so we kept it pretty simple with a 600x and a F22x. Utilising the windows and sheers, I think it came out pretty clean.

Shoutout to the team @jeremy_oliver_miller and @alexkiker12 for joining @mudfilms.us for this one!

It Wants Nightmares is now available on Amazon Prime!

A big thanks to @prowe28 and @lastcaressproductions for bringing me on this film 2 years ago! It was a true pleasure getting to know my “cousins” as we lived through the story of @shavonne_the_writer in the first vignette “Talk Slow, Die Fast”

Give it a watch, and I hope you enjoy it!
