It has been a busy couple of weeks on the MA Sustainable Design at the University of Brighton! @uniofbrighton
We’ve been holding final vivas with our graduating students and assessing their work, while also welcoming our fantastic new student cohort and welcoming back our returning part-time second years. It’s been lovely to hear more about their work in progress and see the ideas, questions and projects taking shape.
A busy start to the academic year, and lots to look forward to. We have an exciting year ahead. Huge well done to those who are finishing and welcome to those new to the course!

Influenced by Ivan Illich’s Medical Nemesis and Deschooling Society, Len compare societal hyper-specialisation and neoliberalism with multicellular organisms, prone to the same pathologies and increasingly resulting in alienation from shared human experience.

Her work ‘Pruning the Hegemony’ explores the intricate relationships between bureaucracies, communities and technology.

Opening night! Amazing to see my work in the exhibition……amazing also at how small ‘Barty’ looked in comparison to the space 😂😂😂. Still, it’s an absolute privilege to be part of the exhibition. Here are some of the snaps I took. The artwork overall was breathtaking and I am grateful to have met some artists- so much talent….
