Wow, what is life? It is the honor of a lifetime to be elected to serve you as Maryland’s 81st Youth Governor❤️

At conference, I spoke to Y&Gers across delegations and program areas for their input in what they want to see change, and I am so grateful to everyone who shaped my platform into what it is today! I loved speaking to as many Y&Gers as possible and planning out the MD Y&G of tomorrow.

My heart goes out to the amazing press for their fantastic edition of the Red&Yellow and the drop dead hilarious end of conference video; the lobbyist’s skilled and heart wrenching speeches; court’s perseverance through last minute changes; and legislator’s dedication to detail and debate. This program is what it is because of you, thank you for all of your work!

Thank you so so much to @neha_youthgov for being such an amazing friend and Youth Governor, words can’t describe how much you have influenced me and how much I will miss you. Also huge thanks to @ev_rose_23 for introducing me to yag, i have no clue where i would be today without you. And of course the fantastic Molly Walker for making this life changing program run in the first place. And so so many more people I can’t begin to name!

But most of all, thank you so much to everyone who voted and made their voice heard. It is incredible to know that I am the person you trust to represent your values, and I promise to follow through on all my policy points. I love you so much Y&G, and I’m so excited for next year💛🦀🖤

Recap - Day 1 of the @nsbapubliced
National School Board Association Conference!

I kicked off the morning with a session on “Sharing the Magic” of what’s happening in our schools with our fantastic SMOB! The conversation was very engaging and helped me to reimagine communication with our stakeholders.

I attended several sessions throughout the day centered around community engagement and bringing voices to the table to enhance the work that the Board is doing. I look forward to implementing several of the strategies I learned.

Finally, we ended the day with keynote @deborahnorville with an energizing message about resilience, perspective, and the power of gratitude to impact your life and persevere through difficult times. A message I think truly resonated with a room full of those who have dedicated their lives to public service.
