𝗔𝗱𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that our body responds to what we consistently do, NOT what’s written down on paper as the plan.

This is why finding a sustainable approach is so vital for long-term progress.

You have to be realistic with what is achievable for you to maintain on an ongoing basis.

𝘈𝘴𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧…

Based on the lifestyle, responsibilities, and preferences I have, is my plan manageable over an extended period of time?

If the answer is no, you need to re-strategize.

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆.

Thinking or regretting the past only drains us of the fuel that could be used to drive today’s actions.

𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘩 𝘶𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥, 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴.

Maybe you ate a few too many cookies over the holidays, missed a few workouts this week, or maybe you’ve let another month pass without starting your journey.

But that’s ok - because none of that matters right now.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘖𝘋𝘈𝘠.

Because the seeds we plant today, will be the fruits we eat tomorrow.

What’s done is done, so direct your energy appropriately.

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲?

𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵…

You choose a goal, get really excited about it, and then after a few weeks you choose another one.

Maybe you thought progress should’ve been faster so you figure your plan wasn’t effective, or maybe you found the repetition of actions to be ‘boring’.

𝘌𝘹𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘥𝘦:

Changing programs every two weeks since things weren’t “working”.

Constantly switching between fat loss and muscle building phases without giving yourself enough time to build momentum in either phase.

Bouncing between training styles (powerlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit, etc.)

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘴𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.

Do you think Olympic athletes switch the event they want to pursue every few months?

No, they work for YEARS to master their craft - and the same goes for anyone else who has impressive accomplishments.

Your lack of ability to fully commit for sufficient periods of time might be the very thing that keeps you spinning your wheels.

Keep the goal the goal.

𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻….

“𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘐’𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?”

Answering this question gives us insights into the area of growth you’ll receive from tackling the challenge.

Because in any situation in life, there are only two potential outcomes…

𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺, 𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.

Either way, you’ve achieved a step forward, but only if you can capitalize on the learning opportunity when you don’t win.

You see, winning doesn’t really teach you anything… so be thankful for the lessons.

💼When you go into work, are you just going through the motions or do you go in with the intention to deliver above and beyond?

🏋🏻‍♂️When you start your set, are you just moving weight from A to B or are you focused on getting the most stimulus possible?

🫂When you approach your relationships, are you present and showing up with intention to build a connection or are you just there to be there?

If we put heart behind every single action we take, the impact we can generate is exponential.

Show up.
