Dunbar Tower is an affordable housing development from the Ann Arbor Housing Commission located on the corner of 4th Avenue and Catherine Street downtown Ann Arbor. Residents are now moving in! There’s beautiful art pieces inside and outside of the building honoring the history of this area, which was once a predominantly Black neighborhood. Soon there will be a space in the building open for public usage called Porter’s Place.

Here’s some of the amazing artwork in progress and the amazing artists creating them, stop by and check the murals out!

April. April. April. It’s only right that I recap you a couple weeks after starting to process all the feelings, experiences, and rain you brought me. This first full month of spring was truly a rebirth. So many ideas being brought to the table, and the common theme of all of them? Community. I am finally the artist I wanted to be 2 years ago. I remember walking through a park with itty bitty Copper strapped to my chest and manifesting the artist I am now while having one of my casual check in’s with Miss Rhonda.

Damn life goes fast. Aprils go fast. Love stays timeless.
