Join us for a special tribute to Lou Donaldson, the legendary alto saxophonist whose sound helped define the soulful side of jazz.

Featuring the unmistakable combination of saxophone, B3 organ, and drums, this is jazz that swings, simmers, and gets right down to the soul.

“10 Souls”, a tune I wrote in memory of the 10 victims of the tragic shooting at King Soopers in Boulder on March 22, 2021.

During my solo, I poured all my love into those 10 souls, feeling a deep connection with each of them through music. After composing and performing this piece, I experienced a beautiful sense of healing that has stayed with me ever since.

Music has a unique way of connecting us, honoring lives, and helping us heal. ❤️🎶

🎉💜 Celebrate the 100th birthday of jazz legend Lou “Sweet Papa Lou” Donaldson with a soulful, hard-swinging tribute at Muse!

🎵 As a pioneer of the soul-jazz movement, Donaldson’s signature blues-steeped alto saxophone sound was famously built on the heavy, grooving foundation of the Hammond B3 organ. This special “Blind Tiger” event recreates that iconic dynamic live in the room. Feel the warmth of a genuine B3 organ and the swirl of a spinning Leslie speaker in an intimate setting designed to elevate classic soul-jazz.

🎼 Leading the tribute is acclaimed Front Range composer and alto saxophonist Wil Swindler. As Coordinator of Jazz Studies at Colorado State University and a renowned bandleader in the Front Range, Swindler brings his sharp musical sensibilities to Donaldson’s classic repertoire. He is joined by Denver’s own Tom Amend on the Hammond B3 organ. Amend is a versatile organist, pianist, and arranger who frequently writes for and performs in various organ trio formats. Having honed his B3 chops performing across the Rocky Mountain region, Amend provides the gritty soul-jazz foundation required to honor Lou Donaldson.

Lineup:
🎷Wil Swindler - Saxophone
🎹Tom Amend - B3 Organ
🥁Brian Claxton - Drums

OLLI SOIKKELI & CESAR GARABINI RETURN TO COLORADO!

November 6–8, 2026 | Three Nights Across the Front Range!

I'm thrilled to welcome these two extraordinary guitarists back to Colorado for a weekend of jazz, Brazilian choro, and remarkable musical interplay!

Finnish jazz guitarist @ollisoikkeli and Brazilian seven-string guitarist @cesargarabini bring together two rich musical traditions, blending the infectious swing and melodic imagination of European jazz with the intricate rhythms and expressive beauty of Brazilian choro.

What makes this duo so compelling goes well beyond their individual virtuosity. It's the musical conversation between them, the spontaneity, the rhythmic interplay, and the sheer joy of two musicians discovering what's possible together.

We'll be sharing three intimate performances:

🎶 FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6
@henriksenamps Factory Stage | Arvada
7 PM | $25 advance / $30 at the door

🎶 SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7
Victor Guitar | Denver
7 PM | $25 advance / $30 at the door

🎶 SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8
@museperformancespace | Lafayette
7 PM | $25 admission
Tickets: museperformancespace.com

These are intimate venues, and I'm delighted to help bring this caliber of musicianship to our Front Range music community.

🎟️ Tickets for Henriksen & Victor Guitar:
