Just a few pictures from last Saturday night’s event, the 40th Annual Trappings of Texas Ranch Rodeo Roundup Party and Live Auction in Alpine, Texas. Thank you to Alex, Kristi and the entire organization for booking The Justin Trevino Band for this wonderful event benefiting the @museumofthebigbend located on the Sul Ross State University campus. This event is the longest running exhibition and sale of contemporary Western art and custom cowboy gear in the country.

I was so incredibly shocked and honored to have been awarded the Best in Show for my paintings at the Museum of Big Bend's 40th annual Trappings of Texas Exhibit. It's the longest-running exhibition and sale of contemporary Western art and custom cowboy gear in the country.

And to add another shock.. I was selected to be the premier artist for next year's show!!! I'm truly honored and can't thank director Dr. Emily Wilkinson and curator Milo Frias enough.

Today was the final day of opening weekend of the 40th Annual Trappings of Texas at @museumofthebigbend.

The day opened with a Ranch Hand Breakfast followed by more artist demonstrations.

It’s exhilarating to be among fellow artists who share the craft and celebrate each other. I’m truly humbled!

The exhibit runs through October 31st in Alpine, Texas. Be sure to tag the museum and artists if you visit!
