Honoured to have given 10 incredible South Asian women working in the music industry, a "seat at the table."

@musicdefineduk + @punchrecords hosted a table at the @musicweekinsta awards - bringing them together to share a room with other incredible, pioneering and inspirational women.

This was the first step towards my commitment to South Asian women - more access, opportunities, representation and occupying spaces they have earned.

I’ve reflected on my journey so many times throughout my career and the challenges I faced - some of which are still prevalent today and that’s representation and access. This led me to launch an initiative early this year to celebrate South Asian women in music.

I’m now proud to collaborate with @punchrecords to empower the next generation of South Asian women working across the music industry - access to signings, senior roles, investment and to make sure they occupy spaces they have earned.

Thank you @indythevee for championing and doing what you do best, and thank you @musicweekinsta for sharing my voice.

These global Lists celebrate Role Models in business who are driving inclusion for women in business. Let’s work together to shift the needle towards inclusion, recognition and access. Representation is foundational.

This one is especially meaningful to me. Less than 12 months ago, I had an idea to celebrate and elevate South Asian women in the music industry, and now we’re here:

✨ April 2026: we hosted our inaugural event

✨ We launched the music:defined hub, which will focus on educating, mentoring and inspiring South Asian women in music

✨ Before the end of the year, our mentoring pilot program will go live
