Friday shout out to one of the most talented people I know and one I’m honored to call my friend: the incredible illustrator known as @mutant101 who illustrated my novella, NIL REMEMBERED. Bridging the gap between NIL and NIL UNLOCKED, NIL REMEMBERED is super fun to read in between the first two books of my NIL series—but it can be read anytime! It’s also FREE! You can find it (it’s an ebook) on all online digital book retailers (Amazon, B&N,etc). In a nutshell, NIL REMEMBERED is the journal of Scott Bracken, who went to the island of Nil on the 1980’s. Spence did an incredible job bringing Scott’s journal to life, and I’m forever grateful. I’ve included in this post some of my favorite illustrations that Spence created, but truth be told I love them all!!! I don’t think the NIL series would be complete without Spence’s incredible work. It’s like he peeked into my head—or rather, Scott’s. Thank you, Spence!!!! The #NILtribe thanks you too.

Now y’all go over to @mutant101 and check out his work. (Last post here is a killer sample). He also has great taste in music, so his posts never disappoint!

Happy Friday, loves! Enjoy this peek into the world of Nil!!!

On Monday my bestie took me to @rapidcityscheels to get the red, white, and black Jordan slides. I wore them once yesterday and they caused blisters on my two pinky toes, and so today we went back to Scheels to do an exchange. When we walked to where the slides are located they had the ones I really wanted and in my size (size 8 which I got the last size 8). I had $20, we got store credit for the original slides, and my bestie @lisamack5744 paid less for my new slides than she did my original slides which were on clearance. #thisishowwedoit #justdoit✔️ #23jordanzhydroXI #whiteblueblack

That moment when you receive a very early 50th Birthday gift and it happens to be the complete 5 part collection of Wolverine: Coyote Crossing; the look on my face was priceless!!! If you’re wondering if I’m gonna take them out of the plastic and read them the answer is a HUGH-ge Hell to the naw!!! I NEVER take my comics out of the packaging cause just in case I can ever get them signed I want them to be in pristine condition and then they immediately right back into the packaging! Now if only I could ever get @thehughjackman, @private_ruckawriter, and @leandrofernandezart to autograph this collection as well as my Wolverine figurines as well as my Funko Pops boy would I be over the moon grateful!!!
