For me, I’ve loved @johncandy since the SCTV days when he was “scaring us” with 3-D pancakes. 😂 I’ve actually seen “The Great Outdoors” at least 30 times. So creating this was a genuine dream. Big thanks to Noah and Dave and everyone at @maximumeffort for the opportunity to create this tour poster for @clearlycanadian “An Evening With @vancityreynolds and Friends”. Take a look at the remaining two dates, and get tickets if you still can with proceeds going to @stjude

As for last night, what a film, and what a night at @queenelizabeththeatre for my son and I and all the other proud Canadians. Eugene Levy! ‘Nuff Said Thanks to @vancityreynolds and @maximumeffort for bringing the tour to Toronto.

Sincere thank you also to @chriscandy4ever for his openness about his dad and to @kevinmccarthytv for a fantastic job hosting the night. Great meeting you.

Remember this truly amazing documentary is out October 10th! @sreid2 👏 @thecompanygram 👏 @therealjencandy

Fellow Hip fans, if you still own your Hip Club card (swipe to see), you know the feeling I had with this opportunity.

As a proud Canadian and lifelong @thetragicallyhip fan, getting the chance to design something for one of our country’s most treasured bands was an absolute dream come true.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to @jake0458 , the band themselves, Cathy, and Noy for this incredible opportunity.

I held off on sharing this giveaway until now because The Hip are such a massive part of our wonderful country that Canada Day just seemed right. I also wanted these prints to be re-pressed and flattened so I could roll them individually.

I want to get one of these official limited edition prints into the hands of a Hip fan. This isn’t about gaining followers for me; it’s about celebrating the music, the band, and our country.

GIVEAWAY CLOSED

Three ways to enter:

* Drop a comment below telling me your favourite Hip track, or a memory? Up to you.
* Tag a fellow Hip fan who may want this in their collection!
* Send me a DM

I’ll be reaching out to one lucky winner directly via DM at the end of the week. Following me isn’t necessary – just spread the love for The Hip. ✌️

I’ve tagged as many people involved in this film as I could. Give them a thanks. 🙏

As for this work, there are actually several Ontario/SCTV/Film Easter eggs in these. I hid a few in my illustration of John as well as in the clothing on the arms. Let me know if you spot them. #johncandy #ilikeme #illustration #animation #mutant101 @procreate BTW There are gifs now, too. @giphy

Well, this was a bucket list piece to do. Thanks once again to the amazing people at @maximumeffort for the opportunity. So jealous of those attending. @kingsofleon are amazing live. Plus I’ve seen @stereophonicsofficial about 20 times, and I’ve seen @thewindthewave several times, so seeing their collab-band @farfromsaintsband would have been fun. And let’s not forget @declanswans 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 @wrexham_afc Have a great weekend. #kingsofleon #wrexhamafc #declanswans #mutant101

*1min01sec Reel* 10(years) 1 (day) ago I first posted on Instagram with a time limit, years and years of traditional art experience, clueless, and with zero expectations. All of this idiocy slowly turned into getting incorporated, trademarked, and officially having a second career. I never planned it. But I’ve enjoyed it all. Even the missed opportunities.

I create every day. I don’t sweat what’s out of my control. I appreciate those that have taken the time for me along this second journey. Also, I’m extremely grateful for my family and friends who’ve supported this risk.

BUT…I would never have gotten here without so many people. Too many to list, but in the comments I’m going to try and list some that have helped along the way. But please, if I forgot someone, don’t yell. Shoot me a DM and say Hi!!
