For me, music is a living tapestry of people, places, languages, instruments, sounds, rituals, ancestry and migration.

As DJ Hali, I curate my sets to weave these threads together, tracing journeys across cultures, continents and generations, where rhythm becomes a shared language on the dancefloor. 🌍🥁🤎

And the rhythm travels… Today, I’m sharing a little Congolese soukous. 🇨🇩💃🏾

And the rhythm continues… 🎶💃🏾✨

A little behind-the-decks moment from Afterglo Sober Rave where ritual met rhythm, movement became celebration, and the dancefloor came alive.

Such a joy to bring the beats to the launch of @socialyoga_ldn beautiful new studio, alongside @dirish_shaktidas and @breadandbutterlounge 🤎

Much love to @mutivation_ for capturing these lovely candid moments! 🎥✨

My experience of burnout isn’t an isolated case. As the cracks in the current story widen, the violence of modern society is showing up more and more in our nervous systems.

Not just through fatigue and burnout, but in subtler ways too. Manipulation and polarisation (fight). Compulsive busyness and escapism (flight). Numbness and apathy (freeze). Losing oneself in service to others (fawn).

Our nervous system state is the soil in which we plant the seeds for what comes next. If we want what grows to be as beautiful as we intend, that soil needs tending.

The gathering we’re organising next weekend is in service to exactly that — so if you’re free and fancy a last-minute adventure, check out the link in my bio.

And if you can’t make it but want to stay in the loop for future gatherings, our mailing list is there too. 🌱

Meet your facilitators. Explore the programme. Join the movement. 🌳🙌🌍

We’re calling all activists, changemakers, and those working towards a better world to join us in North Devon, 2nd-4th October for a weekend of embodiment, land connection, and collective enquiry.

Together, we’ll be exploring a vital question:

How do we decolonise our relationship to the work of change-making, and weave a culture of care, connection, and sustainability into both our present lives and the future we’re creating?

Expect a rich programme of somatics, movement, breathwork, animism, and herbal resilience - all designed to support you back into rest, regulation, and deeper connection - with yourself, the land, and each other.

We’re on a mission forge a culture of rebelliously resourced, grounded, and sustainable movements for change ~ because we know that the future we’re building has to come from a different place than the one we’re resisting.

Domnu Valley, North Devon
2nd-4th October

If this speaks to you, we’d love to welcome you.

See pinned posts for more info and to save your spot!

You are the artist of your life, make it however you want, from my experience it’s 10,000x more satisfying to choose your own definition of success and let go of the need to prove anything to anyone.

Go visit your mother, Earth 🌍
Give thanks for all of life 🙏🏼
If you’re unsatisfied with the hand you’ve been dealt take it up with God, just make sure you go direct and luss all them false light middle men, go rage at your creator, have a tantrum, then realise it’s up to you now to change your life.

I don’t know what I’m talking about but I love this crazy life so much and since I’ve been staying at @domnuvalley I’ve realised how much I’ve needed open hearted kind and spiritually connected people physically close to me not just through the internet.

Anyway, come join us on the land here in two weeks for a little retreat called ‘Rooted We Rise’ check out @innersagesomatics posts for more info ✨🦋

Bless up yourself! ❤️‍🔥
