My experience at Harmony Farm in Wales was more than just enjoying beautiful surroundings and wholesome, nourishing food.

I genuinely noticed a difference in how I felt when I started eating more traditional, nutrient-rich meals. It reminded me how important it is to slow down, nourish our bodies and reconnect with real food.

That experience inspired me to create my 6-WEEK NUTRITIONAL & GUT WELLBEING RESET through Sadia Therapy.

I was so desperate to be accepted, I abandoned myself.

I learnt to hide the parts of me I thought people wouldn’t accept. To mask, to perform and to become whoever I thought I needed to be to feel worthy of love and belonging.

I became so good at hiding my shame that I stopped questioning why I was ashamed in the first place. And somewhere along the way, I started hiding from myself, too.

In trying to protect myself from rejection, I was rejecting myself before anyone else had the chance to.

There’s something deeply spiritual about the journey back to ourselves. In Sufi thought, the heart can become veiled, not because its light has disappeared, but because we’ve lost sight of it beneath the layers we’ve learnt to wear.

Perhaps healing is partly the work of lifting those veils. Of meeting ourselves with honesty and compassion, rather than judgement. Of remembering that beneath our fear, our shame and our need to be accepted, there is still a soul worthy of being seen.

Maybe the way back to ourselves begins when we stop abandoning who we are to become who we think we should be. #Shame #SelfAcceptance #HealingJourney #MentalHealth #Authenticity

A weekend of slowing down, Getting stuck into farm life, learning new skills and reconnecting with nature with what really matters.

Baby goat cuddles, milking, making cheese, cooking wholesome meals, hiking, sitting together, sharing stories, and remembering Allah.

At Harmony Farm, we weren’t just learning about where our food comes from we were learning to live a little closer to our fitrah.

There was something so beautiful about stepping away from the noise and spending time in nature, surrounded by sisterhood, good food and intentional living.

Sometimes healing looks like muddy hands, fresh food, mountain air and hearts that remember Allah. 🤍

Alhamdulillah for spaces like this and for the sisters who make them so special.

The letting go was never really the hardest part. It was facing what I was afraid to find underneath it.

The fear of what people might think — and how easily those imagined thoughts could confirm the things I already believe about myself.

SISTERS IN HARMONY - Harmony farm retreat.

Where do we even start?

There’s something so important about being connected to nature, slowing down life, being connected to the land, knowing where our food comes from, understanding what we’re eating and learning to live a little closer to our fitrah.

That’s why @roojithefoodie and @amira_thewanderlust came together for a wholesome weekend nurturing our mind, body & soul.

Rooji did what she does best — filling our tables with wholesome, nourishing and ridiculously delicious food, while helping us learn more about what we put into our bodies. And of course her beautiful energy.
we were so warmly welcomed by @muzzyfarmer and Elif , who opened up their farm, their home and their knowledge to us with such genuine hospitality.

We learnt about food, farming and what it actually takes to run and live on a farm the work, the simplicity, the challenges and the beauty.

It made us stop and think about how we live.

How much we consume.
How much we waste.
Where our food comes from.
How dependent we are on convenience.

And how we can become more intentional with the way we live.

Then, of course, there was adventure.

Bushcraft, exploring nature, getting our hands dirty, learning about the land and simply slowing down together with @amira_thewanderlust

A weekend of food, nature, learning, faith, sisterhood and reconnecting with the simple things.

This is the one I really didn’t want to post.

I filmed it minutes after the first two, feeling relief, pride, joy and a real sense of achievement.

Then I watched it back.

I didn’t like how I looked. Wrong angle, didn’t like my face, didn’t like how I sounded. And then came the usual questions: “What are people going to think?” and “Do I really want people seeing this?”

But that’s exactly why I’m posting it.

If I’m going to talk about letting go of perfectionism, being seen and caring less about other people’s opinions, I have to practise it myself.

So here it is.
