POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
To my fellow veterans, active-duty service members, founders, leaders, creators, and anyone with something to say, people they feel called to reach, or an improbable dream they refuse to abandon…

Use your voice. Use your platform. Do something GOOD with it. Do something GREAT.

And be the same person in real life that you claim to be online.

Let your faith, daily habits, your loyalty, your relationships, and the way you treat people when nobody is watching reflect your true character.

Your public persona shouldn’t be a gimmick, a schtick, or a carefully curated performance of someone you aren’t.

Own your faults. Own your pain. Own your experiences. Laugh at yourself. Cry when you need to. Be humble. Apologize and make amends if you’re in the wrong. Find your people. Build partnerships. Share what you’ve learned, including the lessons that came at a considerable cost. Being a good person for some is harder than ever these days.

You don’t need a perfect past, a polished message, or anyone’s permission to make a difference in someone’s life.

Last night, I looked around at my fellow creators, friends, and peers, and what impressed me most wasn’t their following, their accomplishments, or their visibility.

It was their character. Their conviction. Their willingness to take what life has taught them and put it to work for someone else.

These are people who show up. Who use their experiences, humor, hard-earned wisdom, and sometimes their own pain to encourage, educate, entertain, and serve others.

Influence comes with responsibility. And though leadership doesn’t require an audience, you can leave a bigger mark if you create and activate it.

Whatever platform you’ve been given, whatever influence you have, however large or small your reach, leave people better than you found them. Leave the world brighter, not darker.

Thank you, MCON @mcon.live and MVA @mvaawards for celebrating those who have made it their mission to celebrate and uplift others.

I’m grateful for the company I keep, the people I continue to learn from, and the privilege of witnessing so many good people doing good things.

Semper Fidelis.
