BASEBALL MEETS PILATES! 💪

What an incredible opportunity today to work with some of the Maryville University baseball team!

A huge thank you to my client, Andy Van Slyke, for making the introduction and connecting me with Jack, Matt, and Drew! And even more importantly, a special thank you to Lori, Andy’s better half, for showing up today and supporting us! ❤️

We worked through classical Pilates exercises focusing on shoulder girdle stability, hip mobility, core strength, spinal rotation, and body awareness.

For baseball players, mobility and stability go hand in hand. The ability to generate power while maintaining control is essential for throwing, swinging, running, and injury prevention.

One of my favorite parts of teaching Pilates is helping athletes recognize their movement patterns, discover imbalances, and find greater strength and efficiency through intentional movement.

I loved watching these guys embrace something new, challenge their bodies, and connect movement with performance.

It’s not always about working harder. Sometimes it’s about learning to move smarter!

Last week, I had the honor of teaching two of my favorite students, Jackie and Sara, on the Cadillac. 🤍

This beautiful studio has sparked a new light in me and reminded me why I love what I do. There is something so special about serving others through movement, helping them connect with their bodies, and guiding them through the six principles of Pilates: Breath, Concentration, Control, Centering, Precision, and Flow.

Watching my students grow, gain strength, find alignment, build confidence, and discover what their bodies are capable of is truly one of the greatest gifts. I can’t imagine a more rewarding job.

I feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by a beautiful team that sees my value, supports my passion, and gives me the space to shine.

Every day, I walk into this studio with gratitude. I see the hard work, dedication, and heart that everyone pours into this space. I watch each teacher grow into their own strengths, not only as instructors but as human beings. There is something powerful about being surrounded by people who are passionate about helping others become their best selves.

When we are given the space to grow, align with our purpose, and shine in our own unique way, beautiful things happen.

Forever grateful for this new chapter, the people I get to work alongside, and the incredible students who trust me with their movement journeys.

Apparently Pilates is the new “it girl” workout… so of course my friends Katie and Bruce had to put me to the test. 😂

They got me on the machine and quickly proved this stuff is definitely not just for the girls.
Had a blast checking out the new @mvmntstudiostl studio in Chesterfield. Huge congratulations to Katie and Bruce on the opening! 🎉

MVMNT Pilates officially opened its doors and we were there to celebrate!

The ribbon was cut, the cocktails were enjoyed, and there was so much excitement surrounding the launch of this beautiful new space!

White sangria + strawberry spritzes were on the menu and we think they were the perfect addition to this celebration and the end of summer.

We’ll be back for the next party 🤍

NEW studio alert 👀

@mvmntstudiostl is officially open in the Chesterfield Valley — with three ways to move under one roof: reformer, Cadillac + strength.

I stopped by earlier this week and took a traditional reformer class… but I have to admit, the Cadillac has me curious.

It’s the only studio in STL offering Cadillac classes, and while I wasn’t quite brave enough to try it this time, I’m thinking I might need to get on that Cadillac next. 😂

So tell me: which would you try first — reformer, Cadillac or strength?
