Dad respected women and loved a lady with personality. He appreciated a sense of humor and a good heart. He wanted the ladies to banter with him. Go back and forth with his trash talking. In fact, if you ever got called “sugar” or “baby” by my Chi-Town father, know that was his highest compliment.

This picture was from 4 years ago on the Saturday of my epic 40th birthday weekend in Miami. My girls and I laid around here pool all day drinking, laughing, gossiping and making memories. Well the “older” folks had gone off to go shopping, walking or just rest. Not dear ol’ Dad. He sat in a chair all damn day in the shade with his cane by his side watching the pool making sure none of us ladies “fell in or drowned.” Folks would check up on him. Offer him a drink. Chit chat with him. He loved it! At the end of the day as everyone wrapped up to get ready for the party that night, Dad took a picture with the ladies.

I overheard him telling a friend later, “they got some fine women up there in that New York City.” 😂 #mydad #lovehim #makememories #chitown player through and through

Enjoying a family vacation with my Granny and Great Uncle! Reflecting on my 1995 Luau experience with My Mommy in Kauai. I miss her so much!

We are staying at Hale Koa which is a miltary hotel because my Uncle is a retired Marine and Vietnam Vet. The Luau paid a tribute to all of those that serve our country. They had the miltary members stand up for thier respected division, the war they served and dedicated the last song to our fallen soliders.
