We’re excited to share that Trust, our upcoming short film, has been selected for the @kickstarter Culture Fund!

This is an exciting milestone for our team as we continue bringing this story to life. Trust is a psychological thriller rooted in themes of trust, abandonment, survival, and Black mental health. It’s a story that challenges us to confront what it means to hold on when the world around us begins to fall apart.

We’re grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to share more with you as we prepare to launch our Kickstarter campaign.

one week ago, we opened the doors to Afrodressing. 🪮🇯🇵🪮

and a room full of people came curious, dressed, stayed awhile + helped us turn an idea into something real.

a week later, we’re still finding pieces of the night we didn’t see while we were inside of it.

the conversations. the clothes. the Afros. the matcha. the sound. the people who stayed upstairs. the people who met each other. the little things happening in the corners.

maybe that’s what an archive is. not the recap, but everything that keeps revealing itself after.

thank you, Dallas.

Our call yesterday was nothing less than magical. Seeing so many beautiful Black creatives, leaders, and storytellers all together was magnificent. And as we come together to create Trust (A post, apocalyptic, psychological thriller 🧟‍♀️) and put it out into this world, we will continue to shine our light in the world.

Not everyone is pictured because some of us were out doing great and amazing things, but were still there. We definitely shouted them out.

The point of creating this film is multi-layered, but the process is the art in itself. Thank you to all the beautiful creative people. May you be blessed in your journeys.

Join us for our last session of Roots and Rhythm coming up this Saturday (September 5, 2026) from 6:30–8:30 p.m., where we’ll be planting seeds for you to take home, eating, creating zines, and looking at visuals from us and the beautiful ones created by some of you.

We want to thank @millcityfarm for being such a beautiful part of this experience. Ms. Lyons has been beautiful, and we can’t wait to see you all this weekend.

We are so excited to celebrate the completion of our sustainable art residency with the City of Dallas. Thank you to everyone who has joined us over the last few months, planting and learning and connecting and creating.
