Yesterday, I had the opportunity to conduct an interview session with a family from the Digital Parents community, and honestly, something about that conversation stayed with me.

At some point, I caught myself thinking:

**How can one person’s decision to solve a problem impact so many lives at once?**

Mehn, this man is truly building something meaningful.

As the conversation continued, I saw the joy of a mother, and I got emotional.

Because right there, I was reminded that sometimes, an idea is so much bigger than the person who first imagines it.

One person notices a problem.
One person decides to do something about it.
And that decision becomes a solution that changes the story of a young person, brings hope to a family, and contributes to a better society.

That is what Digital Parents represents to me.

It is not just about helping a child academically. It is about helping a child see beyond their present circumstances. It is about giving them the opportunity to dream again, discover their potential, and begin to imagine a future they may never have thought possible.

And honestly, that is what building people looks like.

As a woman passionate about helping people who are tired of the norm find the courage to do things differently, this experience reminded me of something I deeply believe:

**One of the most meaningful investments we can make is an investment in a child.**

Children are not just our future; they are people with dreams, potential, and purpose that deserve to be nurtured today.

One of the core problems DigitalParents was created to solve is simple but urgent: enabling Nigerians and Africans more broadly to actively participate in restoring access to education for vulnerable children.

Too often, we see a child who should be in school, but we feel unable to intervene because of the uncertainty of not being able to carry the burden.

With the Guardian feature on DigitalParents, that changes.

Now Anyone can identify a child in their community who should be in school, document their situation, and submit the case on the platform. Once verified through proper due diligence, the child’s story is published on the DigitalParents timeline.

From there, people across the world can view verified cases and choose to support a child directly. This turns compassion into coordinated action helping remove children from the streets and restore their future, one child at a time.

A recent example is the story of David.

A friend of ours noticed David had been out of school for a while and submitted his case. After verification, David’s story was published and within a short time, five DigitalParents from different parts of the world came together to fully cover his school fees through the transparent system we built.

This is possible with the community we are building at DigitalParents.
Together, we can change outcomes. One child at a time.

It’s a new chapter for me and the most prevalent thought that comes to mind is “Jesus Loves me and that’s enough “

I Love Jesus
I love the Word of God
I’m not ashamed of the Gospel
I serve a God who’s alive and speaks clearly.

My life is evidence that He’s alive.
Even if it may not always look like it, I carry the assurance of salvation and that alone is a victory for me.

To live is Christ and to Die is also Gain. I don’t fear death for I know death will be thrown into the lake of fire. I’m an expression of the loving kindness and mercy of God. I’m a recipient of Salvation and a vessel being refined daily through sanctification to be an extension of His Hands on the earth, whether through Science, art and Technology for my father is a Good God who loves Good works.

It started as an idea a few months ago but today it has found expression and serves as a bridge to reach the underserved ensuring Education doesn’t become a thing of the past.

Exactly a year ago, we decided to sponsor 100 students for their JAMB examination. During that time, what began as a random conversation with her revealed that she was unsure whether to write the exam or not, as she had not been preparing due to financial constraints. She felt it might be better to wait until the following year, when she believed she would be more prepared, and her reasons seemed completely valid.

Well, I’m probably the worst person to say that to. I’ve trained and conditioned myself never to see things as impossible. There is always a way. I’ve learned that it’s better to show up with what you’ve done than to make excuses or wait for the perfect moment or time. Every excuse can feel valid if you choose to give it that validity, but ultimately, you are the creator of your own destiny.

We had a phone call, and I encouraged her to give it a shot. It seemed like just a gentle push at the time, but two days later she sent a message and said the words had stayed with her, and had decided to give the exams a try.

Well, she passed the exams, was given a provincial admission, and continued working while saving some money for the resumption of school. When it was time, 14 DigitalParents were also able to support her with the payment of her fees, and today, exactly one year later from what started as just a trial, by God’s grace, she just had her matriculation into the University of Maiduguri.

I am so proud of the lady she is becoming. I’m sure in the next four years we will revisit this post with smiles. Abubakar Maryam, on behalf of DigitalParents, we are truly proud of you. We wish you a happy matriculation and the very best on this journey. Remember, you are not alone.

Earlier this year, we decided to sponsor 100 students for their JAMB forms, giving them the opportunity to write their matriculation exams and take a step toward a brighter future through tertiary education in Nigeria.

I’ve shared before how my community rallied behind this vision and in less than 24 hours, we raised over one million naira through WhatsApp status posts alone! More than 120 people contributed in different ways, showing the incredible power of unity and community support.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been receiving updates about the students’ admission statuses, and it’s been deeply humbling. Knowing that a small act of kindness, a form, a word of encouragement, or timely support could change the trajectory of a young person’s life is truly Humbling.

Just this week, Richard reached out to tell me he had been admitted into the university, and I was smiling looking at the message not sure of what to respond with but just sincere gratitude that I was able step out in boldness to Raise money for getting the JAMB forms not knowing this would change Destinies. Again a reminder to myself to step out even when scared One Bold step can change the trajectory your own life and those connected to you

Also It reminded me that you don’t need to give someone a million dollars to make a lasting impact sometimes, all it takes is a little help at the right time. Through Nation Building Mindset, we’ve seen how such moments can shape destinies forever.

This Jamb for 100 campaign was exactly what inspired the building of DigitalParents to create a platform where everyone can experience the joy of being a bridge to someone’s destiny, supporting children who may not have the means to move forward at the right time with their education.

This is just the beginning of the journey. Remember, DigitalParents isn’t one person it’s all of us, coming together to make a difference in the life of a child.

We have built a solution that allows anyone anywhere in the world to support the education of kids from underprivileged homes and environments seamlessly .

And it’s a Product that would take every single one of us to make it work . It’s been almost 2months of building but we are almost at that green light 🥲🥲 and I’m so excited about it .

DigitalParents is not one person but every single one of us coming together to serve as a bridge for the Kids.
