Dear friends of Institute for Animal Happiness - We are so moved and thankful to these international film festivals for selecting “From Art to Avians” to screen at their recent festivals. “From Art to Avians” is a mini-documentary that traces the steps of IFAH founder Rebecca Moore’s journey going from deep immersion (since childhood) in the NYC avant-garde performing arts and music worlds of the 1980’s through the early 2000’s - through a series of losses and the decision to get on a bus, get out on a dirt road in a place she had never been before in a rural part of NYS, and begin what would later be the founding of the Institute for Animal Happiness - a care organization for rescued farmed birds, with an emphasis on supporting birds who are disabled. This short film shows what it means to go in search of a more caring world, and come out somewhere unexpected. It’s about how we don’t always find healing in the places that advertise it… and about how one of the keys to healing and finding strength and even a bit of hope just might be found when we step up for others and go to support each other: especially the ones that we’ve long been conditioned to believe do not need or deserve any care. Thank you to ✨Whispers of the Universe Film Festival ✨@aiff_2022 (Alpine Film Festival) ✨@london_vision_ff (London Vision Film Festival) ✨@mynameisclimate Film Festival We apologize we didn’t have the ability to share news of the screenings earlier but we hope everyone will check out this short & sweet film - you can watch it online at the link in our bio. Huge love and deep gratitude to @jimvgn22 and Lori Amos of Scout22, film directors @bethaaladocs and @amy_berg and to the kind souls who made this short film manifest. #instituteforanimalhappiness #smallbutmighty #centercaregiving #carerevolutionrising #chickenrescue
