Despite the rain, PNA-Bay Area turned the day into a beautiful blessing as we celebrated Filipino-American History Month with a whole lot of Filipino fun, food, laughter, and festivities! 🎉🇵🇭

From the irresistible pancit 🍜, sweet turon 🍌, and yummy puto 🍚 to the nostalgic sari-sari store paninda and raffle prizes 🎁—parang biglang umuwi sa Pilipinas! 😂❤️ All we needed was a karaoke machine singing “Dahil Sa’Yo” and the celebration would be complete! 🎤🤣

The rain may have poured, but so did the love, laughter, and bayanihan spirit! Because no matter where we are in the world, the Filipino spirit shines brighter than any storm. 🌈✨

Grateful for a community that keeps our culture alive, celebrates our heritage, and reminds us that home isn’t just a place—it’s the people, the food, and the traditions we carry in our hearts. 🇵🇭❤️

I am at a loss for words to describe @lonestarpalengke.
It was possibly the best day of the year.
I have prayed for a Filipino community in Dallas for YEARS and finally experiencing it was so much more than l imagined.
I am overwhelmed with emotions just thinking about it. 🥹
I’m still riding the high.

My country. 🇵🇭
My people.
All coming together and proudly celebrating our heritage and sharing it with Dallas.
It was so beautiful and wonderful to see! 😭

Words can’t express the gratitude I have for every single one of the people featured here. This isn’t even 1/4 of the festival but I’m just so happy I got to capture so many special moments. This is the true meaning of KAPWA. And I think everyone there experienced it.

Thank you so much, @pacedfw, for allowing me to be a part of it all.

It was a core memory for me.

What an incredible and historic day during Filipino-American Month for the Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego (PNASD)!

Ahead of World Mental Health Day, we are honored and proud to have served as the main host of a meaningful free community event, 2026 PNASD Halika Fest at beautiful Balboa Park in San Diego, bringing people together to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, promote wellness, and connect our community with valuable mental health resources.

This event was a powerful reminder that mental health is health and that through education, compassion, connection, and community, we can make a difference.

A heartfelt THANK YOU (Salamat) to everyone who helped make this event such a tremendous success!

As healthcare professionals, patient safety is more than a policy or checklist—it is part of every assessment, every diagnosis, every medication, every treatment, and every conversation with our patients.

This year’s message reminds us that people living with chronic conditions often depend on healthcare throughout their lives. Safe, coordinated and patient-centered care matters at every step. 🩺

I keep looking at this crown and thinking about how it was never just mine to win.

There were so many people behind this moment. People who believed in me when I was still trying to believe in myself. People who gave their time, shared their talent, opened doors, offered advice, stayed up late, took care of the little things no one else would ever see, and reminded me to keep going when things felt overwhelming.

To my team, thank you for everything you poured into this journey. For every idea, every adjustment, every late night, and every detail. I know how much work happens behind the scenes, and I will never take any of it for granted.

To my family and friends, thank you for being my safe place through all of this. For the calls, the messages, the prayers, the laughter, and for reminding me who I was beyond the crown. You gave me something to come back to through every high and every low.

To my creatives, mentors, supporters, and everyone who helped me along the way, thank you for seeing something in me and helping me bring it to life. So much of this journey was made possible because you were willing to give a piece of yourselves to it.

And to everyone who cheered for me, followed this journey, sent a message, shared a post, said a prayer, or simply believed that I could do it, thank you. I felt your love in more ways than you probably realize.

When I look at this crown, I don’t just see what was won that night. I see every person who helped me get to that stage. Every hand that lifted me, every voice that encouraged me, every person who made space for me to keep going.

This crown may have my name on it, but so many hands helped me reach it.

I know I will always remember the night I won, but I think I will remember even more the people who helped me get there.

Thank you for walking with me, believing in me, and making room for me to become the woman who was ready for this moment.

This one will always be ours. 🤍👑
