"But what will I get out of volunteering?"

Well where do I start? 🤩

You will get ALL the things 👌🫶

🌲 The chance to spend some time in one of the most beautiful country parks I've ever seen

😍 Time spent with the best people

💪 Supporting fabulous people to do hard things is super rewarding

🍩 The best snacks

🔔 And who wouldn't love the chance to ring the bell to start the next yard?

The weekend I spent volunteering at the inaugural @beecraigs_byu was one of the best running weekends I've ever spent despite not taking part 😍

I was also at least as shattered as I'd have been if I had taken part (we'll ignore that this is at least part due to the small number of yards I'd have managed) but I went home with my happiness bank full to bursting 🫶

If you didn't manage to bag a place for next year after it sold out in less than 24 hours this is a fabulous alternative. I didn't try and get a place because I'm coming back to do this all over again!

Join me?

WHW W14 D6 - Pentlands Social v6 9mi

You never know what you're going to get when @ctrl_alt_delee organises a social run in the Pentlands. You don't know who is going to turn up and you don't know what the conditions will be like.

However, the one thing that is guaranteed is smiles! Whether it's their first time in the Pentlands or just another weekend run around them, everyone taking part can't stop grinning from ear to ear.

Pentlands Social 2 ✅

What a morning 🥰. The weather gods got the memo and we were blessed with a belter of day. I love these hills but I love sharing time on them with my favourite people. Today ticked all the boxes 😊.

Thanks so much to everyone who came out for a pootle round some of my fav bits of the Pentlands 🫶. Next one will be July, but watch this space for an adhoc Skyline maybe in May........

The ocean is our life support system. Small acts matter, and it starts with something seemingly insignificant as a 🚬. Remember it's not about littering: 🚬 contain plastic and +4000 toxins and chemicals.
⬇️⚠️
If you're in Portugal, you can bring the butts to me to Lisbon, and we create some art with it. Pick a single use plastic bottle (important: it must be found in nature) fill it and contact me so we can meet or you can send it over.

On this World’s Ocean Day, let us recommit ourselves to the cause of ocean conservation. Let us dive into action, embracing a future where our seas thrive with resplendent life, where coral reefs pulsate with vibrant colors, and where marine creatures roam freely in their natural habitats. Together, we can create a world where the beauty and abundance of the ocean are cherished and safeguarded for eternity.

So, let us raise our voices, join hands, and stand united in our determination to protect and restore our oceans. Let us be the change we wish to see, for in doing so, we will leave a lasting legacy of hope, resilience, and love for our oceans.

Thank you, and happy World’s Ocean Day!

Every plogger has his/her style but this is MY STYLOH.

Plogging is a relatively new form of exercise that combines jogging with picking up litter. This trend has gained popularity in recent years, and for good reason. Here are some of the pros and cons of plogging:

Pros:
Environmentally friendly: Plogging helps to reduce litter in our communities, which benefits the environment and wildlife.
Health benefits: Plogging provides a unique form of exercise that combines cardio with strength training. By picking up litter while jogging, you engage your core, arms, and legs in a more challenging workout than traditional jogging.
Social impact: Plogging provides an opportunity to make a difference in your community and encourages others to do the same.

Cons:
Safety concerns: It is important to be mindful of potential hazards while plogging, such as sharp objects, broken glass, and hazardous waste.
Time-consuming: Plogging can be a time-consuming activity, especially if you are regularly stopping to pick up litter along your jogging route.
Discomfort: Plogging may not be comfortable for everyone, especially if you are carrying a bag or wearing gloves to pick up litter.

Overall, the benefits of plogging outweigh the potential drawbacks. It is an excellent way to combine exercise with environmentalism, and it can have a positive impact on both individuals and communities.
