I came back stronger. So did everyone else.

Innsbruck, so we meet again. 🇦🇹

Last year’s competition in Innsbruck was my first international climbing competition and the place where I started to build my confidence as a climber.

I’ve gotten a lot stronger since then. The thing is, so has everyone else.

Competing in a merged class as a single-arm climber means the results don’t always tell the full story. I knew the outcome wouldn’t necessarily reflect the progress I’ve made, but I’m proud of how I climbed.

What makes this competition especially meaningful is that it’s the first one where we’ve had five AU1 (single-arm) climbers competing. Watching our field grow, seeing more representation, and sharing the wall with this community feels like a win in itself.

I’m having fun looking cool on the wall, throwing big dynamic moves, and campusing with one arm, as they say 😉

Grateful for my climbing community and the opportunity to compete alongside the best para climbers in the world. 🧗🏻‍♀️

Thank you @usaclimbing @usaparaclimbing for the opportunity, @kletterzentruminnsbruck for hosting us, and @adaptclimbgroup and @cafoundation for the support. (ACG sponsors @adidasfiveten @blackdiamond @edelrid_sport @Evolv_worldwide)

My first Paraclimbing World Cup is in the books 🎉

And I came in 8th out of 10 with athletes from 6 countries. I guess that makes me a Top 10 athlete!

My stretch goal was not to place last, though even if I got last I would understand as the only AU1 women's climber (single-arm climber) now in a two-arm climbing class called RP1 ... so I did better than I thought!

A few highlights include seeing how much progress I've made since Nationals, watching my Team USA teammates sweep the podium in my category, and meeting the other climbers with brachial plexus injuries (paralyzed arm).

Excited to welcome more BPI climbers into the sport and thank you @usaclimbing for the support!
