You can tell how much fun I had by the LACK of photos 😅 This past weekend in Canberra with over 20 incredible tradeswomen and apprentices, thanks to @naenrise, is an experience I won’t ever forget 💞 Attending as a mentor and participant, this event truly captured the power of community and role models, and how having strong relationships, with others both like and unlike us, can give us the courage to grow and the resilience to persist 🔥 Being a role model is just one type of leadership, but its impact can't be understated. You're already a leader by putting your best foot forward each day 👏 #womenintrade #tradies #leadershipskills

God what an amazing couple of days. It’s honestly hard to find words to describe what the women in trades summit was like. From Thursday night sitting around awkwardly getting to know each other to saying good bye this morning with hugs and laughter and promises to stay in touch. The drive back was just running over the last couple of days and thinking on all I’ve learnt and the people I met. A quote comes to mind that I heard years ago. “Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it.” The lessons I’ve learnt and the people I’ve met I know I’ll carry with me for a long time. So here’s to life in the top drawer. And together we R.I.S.E.
