Had such a good time at HOUSE OF MERC last Saturday at @staple21mercer. (the event started at 6/6/2026 6pm 🤭🤙🤙🤙) Thanks to @prodirectsoccerus, @nikefootball, @nikenyc, @soccerbible, @staple21mercer and everyone who made this happen. Feels like the unofficial kickoff to my 2026 World Cup journey ⚽️ （will start going to matches in person 🤭） Also got to see the legend @didierdrogba, a Mercurial 💚🏎 @lamborghini, and one of the most energetic crowds I’ve seen in a while. Sharing a few of my favorite moments from the night. 📸 by me @sinki_photo Shot entirely on iPhone. . #fifaworldcup #shotoniphone #nikefootball #nyclife #phonephotography

There are certain addresses that become more than just places. They become part of a culture’s story. 🏛️ For years, 21 Mercer was one of those places. It wasn’t simply a retail store. It was a gathering point for creativity, innovation, and community. For many of us, it represented a moment when sport, design, and culture collided in a way that helped shape what modern retail & brand experiences could become. That’s why it is especially meaningful to welcome NIKE back to @staple21mercer for the HOUSE OF MERC.🤘🏽 The name itself feels destined. HOUSE OF MERC celebrates the Mercurial, one of the most iconic football boots ever created, while also paying tribute to Mercer Street, an address that holds deep significance in Nike’s history. It’s a clever connection, but it’s also something more: A HOMECOMING 📣 As football takes center stage globally this summer, @STAPLE21MERCER transforms into the HOUSE OF MERC — a hub for the sport’s most passionate fans, athletes, and creators. We’re honored to partner with Nike @nikefootball and @prodirectsoccer on this initiative. Pro:Direct is at the forefront of football culture, making them the ideal collaborator to help bring this vision to life. ⚽️ New York has countless spaces where an activation like this could live, but HOUSE OF MERC belongs at @staple21mercer because of what this address represents. The cultural equity of this space wasn’t created overnight. It’s the result of massive effort, blood, sweat and tears to ensure we maintain community, foster creativity and contribute to the ongoing story of NYC. I’m proud that STAPLE is carrying that legacy forward. 🗽 For @staplepigeon, this collaboration represents something we believe deeply: The most powerful cultural moments happen when history and innovation occupy the same space! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 📸 @illdefined

Yes, that’s a Sailor Moon-inspired colorway of the Nike Air Max 1, complete with crown and moon embroidery hits. The pair belongs to former Nike employee and 21 Mercer alum @nahbroitscool, who designed the sneakers as part of Nike’s old bespoke program. The bespoke process, a hallmark of the bygone Nike 21 Mercer store, allowed shoppers to build their own Air Max 1s and Air Force 1s with a deep level of customization and access to near endless materials.

Recap part 2 @itsthestoriesthatmatter x @staple21mercer: The Gathering NYC 2026 🏆 What an incredible community link 🆙 yesterday at 21 Mercer 🏛️ the former physical location of a cultural pantheon and official landing grounds of the innovative bespoke program formally known as NikeLab 21 Mercer (opened: 2008, closed: 2023): a truly special place in a lot of our hearts who’ve been enthusiastic about the customization and exclusive release of pinnacle category footwear. Being here reminded me a lot of my memories with my (& yours) Uncle Clark aka DJ Clark Kent 🕊️ I’m so grateful to share such wonderful sentiments in this space with today’s keepers of authentic NYC sneaker culture. 🗽👟 #journey Today, the current iteration of the space is now STAPLE NYC operated by @staplepigeon 🐦 which has ruled the downtown streetwear world for decades through the former @reedspace in LES, representing NYC in @nikesb’s first city edition release known infamously as the Pigeon Dunk SB (2005) (which did indeed make front page news back then and sparked a mini riot downtown). These days Staple is a top design house for many sportswear brands and innovates collaboration, swapping entire neighborhood swags with Supreme, Stüssy, etc which made SoHo a streetwear capital, and all have moved to the area Reed Space (now @extrabutter) made desirable for our generation, championed by none other than The World Renown @jeffstaple: A top designer in streetwear and an icon within sportswear’s influential legacy in New York City. 21 Mercer is now a full circle cultural hub thanks to Jeff Staple and his vision for our futures in streetwear/sportswear fashion + design. It only made sense to connect @aaron.ac.cooper through @itsthestoriesthatmatter + his increíble platform to share our stories 🧽/||||🦋 Hearing the stories from sportswear/streetwear community leaders @aaron.ac.cooper @jeffstaple @jaetips @premiumpete @nolegz_ @dontchargeabdul @instyleshoes1999 & many more. Catching up with old friends & new. Just wow! NYC pulled up to #coopcamp‼️🐦🗽🏛️✨🔊 So happy to connect the dots and make this happen with such an incredible team of luminaries & contributors 🤝 cheers 🏆 many more
