Happy birthday to our Vice President Janai 🩷💜

i joined bid because i wanted to get more into fashion. I also went to the Sneaker Ball in 2023 and had so much fun with the e board that i knew i wanted to join.

My style inspiration is Monet McMichael.

If i could describe my style in one word it would be “calm”.

November 7th, 2025 will be a day I will never forget. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have been a part of this experience. Never did I ever think I would participate in a pageant let alone win a title by the end of it. I have grown so much through this and I can’t wait to see this new version of me.

To the Golden Queens of the Nile: I love you all to the bottom of my heart🫶🏽. We have built such a strong sisterhood in a matter of a month & we have pushed through so much to get to where we are today. I wanted to thank you for all of the memories we have made together inside & outside of practices (Club 222😘)! I have your back no matter what and I appreciate you all.

To my pageant moms (@campbell.hopee & @niyarose_): Thank you for taking time out of your own personal lives to make sure that everybody was okay and prepared for the big day. I love you both and forever grateful for what you have done💛

To my friends and family: Thank you for coming out and supporting me during my first pageant ever as well as being patient with me during this experience.

To the NOTORIOUS Nu Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated: Thank you for all of your encouragement, advice and humor during everything. I can’t wait to begin collaborating with you guys and build a stronger bond than what we already have.

I joined BID because growing up I wasn’t really into fashion but always wanted to be, and seeing the bond between the BID members at their first ball last year I knew that I wanted to be apart of it.

A fashion icon that I live up to is Monet McMichael. She’s very creative and always trying new things with fashion and I’m obsessed with her looks.

I have a passion for fashion because I like being able to express myself through clothing. Whether it’s being comfortable or dressing up I don’t think there’s any wrong way to express yourself.

If I had to describe my aesthetic in one word I would say comfortable. I definitely prefer a baggy jean over skinny jeans. - @naiiix0
