POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Once again our lovely neighbours @quincetreecoing have delivered us some quinces from their recent harvest. Grown in the streets of Camberwell and just a stones throw from our Vestry Road location. 🌳Thank you so much.

Last time I made some delicious Quince Jam, and I’m looking forward to making some more this weekend. Leave me a comment and let me know how you’d like to see me use them 🥰

Kurdish Restaurant Spotlight:
Nandine, London

Nandine has two locations in London, and we visited both, with two very different experiences.

Vestry Road location
We went for breakfast and tried several dishes, while sitting down with owner Pary Baban to talk about her motivation for opening Nandine, her views on Kurdish cuisine, and her book.
What really stood out was Pary’s passion for celebrating and preserving Kurdish culinary heritage. Through Nandine, she brings Kurdish food, traditions and stories to a wider audience, while keeping the richness and diversity of Kurdish cuisine at the heart of what she does.

📖 Pary Baban’s cookbook is available on Amazon. It contains many dishes she also serves in her restaurants. Check it out!

Camberwell Church Street location
For dinner, we enjoyed a lovely atmosphere and some seriously good Kurdish food. The dandok, stuffed Kurdish kifta, and tûzik salad (watercress) were the standouts, all absolutely delicious and highly recommended.
Two locations, two different experiences, but the same celebration of Kurdish culinary heritage.

Yesterday evening we had the pleasure of hosting @angymao.mao for an evening of dinner with friends celebrating her time in London!
This was a special one for us at Vestry as Angie used to work as a chef in our kitchen, so it was lovely to cater for her and friends for a farewell dinner. 💐
From all of us at Nandine we wish you the best in your new adventures, and we will always be a home for you!

🥂

Vestry Road is now available for large bookings and private hire to join you in celebrating any occasion! Send us a DM or email: nandencatering@gmail.com 🌺

The Scottish Multidisciplinary artiste extraordinaire Tahliah Simumba (AKA TAAHLIAH when she’s behind the decks) is a triple threat. Her debut solo exhibition ‘A star that burns forever is a star that burns in me’, at Glasgow International, channels trans icons including Pete Burns and Marsha P. Johnson, examining the expectations and constraints society often places on transidentities. A woman of many talents, and postcodes, we asked her for her favourite weekend haunts in Glasgow and London.

This is Tahliah Simumba’s Weekend Guidez
