🚑 Please join us in congratulating Nancy Stanley on becoming our newest Paramedic!

Nancy has been a fantastic EMT with Silverton Medical Rescue for 3 years, and earlier this year she completed her paramedic program — and now she’s bringing that advanced level of care to our San Juan County community.

Her training was made possible in part by the Workforce Resilience Program, which helps rural agencies like ours invest in our people. Growing paramedics from within our own team is one of the best ways we can keep San Juan County safe.

Congrats, Nancy! 👏

Practice, practice, practice. Technical rope rescue skills are a major part of our skill set at SMR, and we have the capacity to access patients over the edge, off the highway, in the backcountry, anywhere. Plus, we offer ALS anywhere, anytime. How cool is that?

Happy International Women’s Day! Did you know that our staff is equal parts women to men? 💪

We appreciate the strength, hard work and high caliber of training our team consistently devotes themselves to. Thank you to all women stepping it up in EMS and SAR: in the snow, on the ropes, in the water, over the edge, anywhere. #womensday #sar #ems #womenwholead

I've finally accepted that my very favorite time of year is winding down. From a kickoff with a visit from @alyssam14 and Brandon, to the hunts to find the last pockets of aspens, I've collected a lot of leaf porn for your viewing pleasure. Thanks to all the people I love who helped me collect it during this magical and fleeting time of year.

We ❤️ our full-time team - all 6 of them! Though we are a small nonprofit, Silverton Medical Rescue is fully trained to take on any call, anywhere, anytime. Navigating avalanche terrain, technical rope rescue, moto-ops, heli drops, packing in, staying overnight, you name it; our team will be there to bring advanced life support anywhere, and get you to where you need to be.

We appreciate the honor to grow to continue to serve our San Juan County community. Thank you.

Thanks to @fflco for a wonderful collaborative year! We wouldn’t be as strong of a service without them. With ground transport times to the nearest facility at a one hour minimum, they’re a valuable resource for our team. Cheers and have a safe holiday!
