Our little film has taken its first step into the world. ❤️🎬 So happy to share that Finding Awesome has been Officially Selected for the 16th CMS International Children’s Film Festival 2027. Inspired by a true story, this film began with something that stayed with Varun and me: a little girl who refused to let a diagnosis define her. A diagnosis may tell you what you have. It doesn’t have to decide who you are. That has always been the heart of Finding Awesome, and it feels especially meaningful that one of its first homes will be a festival created for young audiences. ❤️ Varun and I are incredibly proud to have produced this film together alongside some truly special people. Sameer, our problem-solver through it all, thank you for always finding a way. Marc, thank you for directing Evie’s world with such heart and sensitivity. Narjes, a very dear friend and brilliant DOP, your creativity elevated every frame. Yusuf, my brother from another mother and our wonderful editor, thank you for finding the emotion and rhythm that brought the story so beautifully together. And to Enrico and Amanda, thank you for your support and belief in the film. To Maisie, our incredible cast and every member of our crew, thank you for giving Finding Awesome your talent and heart. Writer/Director @sharonsibylgatt set out to make a film that doesn't look like the ordinary traditional greys seen in most movies. She wanted the colours to express the character's feelings, and inspire comfort. SCREENINGS THIS WEEK We are pleased to announce that two of our films will be playing at Vue Piccadilly as apart of the rolling film festival. Our first film “My Hero” will be playing as a part of shorts block 1 on Friday the 18th at 14:00. Our second film “Untouched” will be playing as a part of shorts block 2 on the same day at 16:50.
