thankful for the people and pets who got me through the chaos of the 34 days between breast cancer diagnosis and surgery yesterday 💓 i knew these perfect jugs were too good to be true

i found a tiny, hard lump in november—1 week after my women’s annual appointment, where my gyno performed a breast exam and found nothing. when i went back in to get it checked out, she was confident it was benign and that i could wait to get a biopsy until after the holidays.

simply ~Being a Woman~ gives you a 1 in 8 chance of developing breast cancer, and i had no idea that i was considered high risk until the week i was diagnosed.
