Had such a fantastic evening listening to the incredible @authorlylasage talk about her books with my beautiful besties @lizzies.little.library and @racheal_reads yesterday 🤠

Rebel Blue Ranch is such a criminally underrated small town cowboy romance, and it's one of my favourites series ever (I love Teddy and Gus!!!) So meeting the author and hearing all about the writing process was amazing. Lyla was so lovely and very funny. I can't wait to read Free Falling!!

Special thanks to Liz and Rach for all the laughs. The car trip is always such a highlight of our outings and I'm so lucky to have you as friends 💖

Hellooo everyone! I’m honestly so happy to be back to booksta — this is truly the creative outlet I needed. It has been TOUGH adapting to the working adult world (truly was in the pits of my mental state) 🥲😒 I’d like to slowly get back to posting regularly. So many new changes to booksta & new friends to make! 💞 Thank you to some of my OGs for a super warm welcome back!!

𐔌՞. .՞𐦯

current reads:

quicksilver by callie hart (physical), lawless god by lola king (KU), taming the heart (KU), slapshot (KU), against a wall (KU) — trust me to milk the most of my KU subscriptions HAAHA I realised in the year I’ve not post that I’m truly a mood reader so now Nathan White & Kayla King from Lawless God has me hooked (that Stockholm syndrome is doing wonders for you applies to me iykyk)

current fixations:

if you say your current music playlist is not influenced by off campus….(I’m suspicious & jealous of you 🤣) all I can think about is off campus! I’m a logangracie girly to my core but will forever be a garrettwelsy girly — I’m UNWELLSY to my core at how much I loved the adaptation. If I’m not re-watching it, I’m listening to the songs, or watching the edits, all watching all their press tour contents!! anyways curious to know everyone’s fav moments from off campus + your fav songs you discovered from the series! back in my body by maggie rogers, bed on fire by g flip & edge of the earth goes multi platinum in my ears! 🪩💖

anticipated reads

a slide of some books I absolutely cannot wait to read & review after seeing so many people’s amazing edits/reviews!!

Happy Saturday!!🛵🍃Thank you @vyisreading_ for tagging me in this, it was actually so fun to think about my answers hehe xx

🛋️Read in the Morning or Evening?
I definitely prefer mornings. I feel more focused and present when I read during the day. I love reading in the sunlight, especially when I’m surrounded by nature. At night I tend to get sleepy, especially if I’m reading in bed - or I end up staying up all night whoops...

🎧Audiobook or eBook?
I don’t actually use either, but I bought a Kobo and I’m really excited to start using it. I feel like it’ll make reading a lot easier when commuting or on road trips.

💭Fiction or Non-Fiction?
Fiction will probably always be my favourite. I love imagining new worlds and immersing myself in different characters and stories. But I do try to balance both.

📖Paperback or Hardback?
I absolutely love both. Usually I buy the paperback first, and if I really enjoyed the book then I’ll go back and collect other editions, especially hardcovers.

📜New or Old Releases?
I’m honestly not too fussed either way, but there’s something about books from the 2010s/pre-Covid era that just hit different. A lot of them felt really unique in their plots and characters. Nowadays many releases feel a little similar or inspired by each other.

🕯️Classic Lover or Hater?
Definitely not a hater. I’m actually trying to read more classics lately and I have quite a few on my TBR. A few favourites are 𝒜𝓃𝓃ℯ ℴ𝒻 𝒢𝓇ℯℯ𝓃 𝒢𝒶𝒷𝓁ℯ𝓈, 𝒯𝒽ℯ 𝒮ℯ𝒸𝓇ℯ𝓉 𝒢𝒶𝓇𝒹ℯ𝓃, and ℬ𝓁𝒶𝒸𝓀 ℬℯ𝒶𝓊𝓉𝓎.

🌳Silence or Noise?
I prefer silence because it helps me concentrate, but I do love natural sounds in the background. Leaves and trees rustling, birds chirping, insects buzzing. It almost feels like white noise.

🖇️Bookmark or Dog Ear
Definitely bookmarks now. During high school I used to dog ear my pages, but now that I buy my own books I’m a lot more careful with them. They feel like my little treasures haha.

Also slightly unrelated but how good does the 🍮 burnt basque brownie cheesecake look?! I got it from a café that recently opened and it was so good. Now I really want to try the matcha version next time teehee xx

this might officially be the last booksta post of the year from me! genuinely not sure if i’ll be back on december 22nd to celebrate this little corner of the internet turning FOUR YEARS OLD! Four years…can you even believe it?
Looking back at this past year, my heart is absolutely bursting with gratitude. So much happened, so many incredible books were read, and so many wonderful connections were made right here with all of you. Every comment, every texts, it has meant the absolute world and made this space feel like a genuine home.
now for the important part: you will see me eating grapes under the table again this New Year’s Eve, don’t worry! Some traditions simply must be upheld as we move into the next year….
As I sign off for the holidays, I’m sending you all the magic, love, light, and good reading vibes I have left. You deserve all the peace and joy the universe can offer. Thank you, thank you, thank you & i miss each and every single one of you.
i lalala love youuu beautiful people 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️✨✨💞💞💞🌬️🌬️🌬️
