Trekking the trails of DOLPA.
Here, nearing the end of our two week trek through remote and breathtaking areas of Lower Dolpo, we walk along the paths of the stunning Suligad Waterfalls (also known as Phuksundo waterfall as it starts at the famous turquoise waters of Phoksundo lake. It stands at 167-meters tall.

These paths are not for the faint hearted!

I feel very fortunate that I've had the amazing opportunity to visit places like Dho Tarap in DOLPA, a remote and much less travelled area of Nepal.
Choosing to go overland - a total of 56 hours by jeep and local bus and then trekking for 2 weeks through truly magnificent and breathtaking areas in places, unlike anywhere else I've visited on my adventures, will remain with me forever.

Would you consider this for your bespoke adventure in Nepal with Treehope Travel?
Not for the light hearted...

Wearing the traditional Magar gunyo cholo to celebrate my birthday in Nepal!
I was once again blown away by how incredibly welcoming and warm people are from all different ethnic groups in Nepal, and how vastly different traditional costumes, music and customs can be.

Through connecting and sharing cultures, we gain a deeper understanding of the people we meet on our journeys. Highlighting and honoring local traditions is at the heart of everything we do at Treehope Travel.
So grateful for another unforgettable day, and especially Jasmati Magar and Devi Pulami for their beauty, time and giggles dressing me.

Tihar festival is quite possibly the best festival ever and an incredible time to be in NEPAL
The festival of lights, colors, and pure magic. From honoring crows and dogs to celebrating the unbreakable bond of siblings, Tihar fills the streets of Nepal with an unmatched warmth. Rangoli at the doorstep, streets full of food, colour, flowers, lights and music and a heart full of gratitude.

This year it runs from November 6 - 10

NEPAL 🇳🇵
For the more intrepid adventurers....

Explore treks less travelled, meandering deep into Dolpa — through remote villages and ancient chortens, seeing yak ploughing, traditional farming and experiencing local life along the way.

Learn about the region’s ancient traditions, cross high mountain passes and take in breathtaking mountain views, turquoise waters and rugged, steep trails.

A truly unforgettable journey!

Leave only love, take only memories 🌿

Nepal 🇳🇵has so much to offer and if it's trekking you are after there are SO many options.
Why not incorporate Mardi Himal trek into your itinerary.
Perfect for a shorter trek (3-5 days), first time trekkers, families, wildlife and nature lovers, suitable most of the year.
Easily accessible from Pokhara, stunning rhododendron display (busier time!), close up views of many Himalayan peaks over 6000 and 7000 meters..
Trail built for trekkers rather than indigenous cultural immersion (but we can incorporate that on another section of your journey 🙏🏽)

TEA HOUSES OFTEN NEED PRE-BOOKING.
Available, AS ALWAYS, through your bespoke trip with Treehope Travel

Leave only love, take only memories 🌿💚🙏🏽🌄

Meet Ramesh 🇳🇵❤️

I love coming across people in Nepal who are quietly doing things that make a difference.

Ramesh runs Trek Equipment Solutions in Pokhara and is incredibly helpful, honest and passionate about encouraging trekkers to rent rather than buy equipment they might only use once.

He even offers a buy-back service, giving good gear another life.

A simple idea that means less waste, lower costs and a more thoughtful way to enjoy Nepal’s incredible mountains and nature. 🏔️🌿

If you’re trekking from Pokhara, go and say hello to Ramesh! 🙏🏽

NEPAL 🇳🇵

In other news, we are delighted to say that our GoFundMe "Making Banepa Greener 2026" tree planting project is well and truly underway!

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, this was delayed back in May. However, Rashil from @banepastay has been working hard with his team to plant around 60 trees.

Alongside this, they have been building bamboo frames to support and protect both the previously planted trees and the new additions. 🌳🎋

We thank you again for supporting this project over the past few years 💚

WE CAN DO BOTH

We can still PROMOTE travel to NEPAL
AND support flood victims! 🇳🇵

While specific areas undergo major repairs, regions like Bardiya, Chitwan, Pokhara, and many major and more remote trek circuits are open and eager to welcome visitors.

Tourism feeds families and powers the recovery.
DO BOTH
Donate to relief
AND
keep your travel plans.

Let's work together with local communities! and support Nepal!🏔️
