New episode drops tonight — 7pm.

Sat down with Nate Hamon — frontman of Mayan Fox, punk poet, author, and a bloke who’s run for Logan City Council twice because he actually gives a shit about where he lives.

Fifteen-plus years fronting a band he built from nothing. Three poetry books. A novel. Born in NZ, moved his whole life, did it rough before Logan became home. Nate turns whatever life throws at him into something he can put on a stage or a page.

We got into the parts that don’t make the highlight reel — including flying to Canada to play one last set for family before they passed. The kind of loss that reshapes a man, and what he’s built out of it since.

Different roads, same fight. This one’s real.

Set a reminder. 7pm tonight.

I always love taking the opportunity to invest in my professional development, so it was wonderful to participate in some celebrant training today.
One quote from trainer Nate Hamon really resonated with me: ‘As the celebrant, we are the emotional thermostat of the ceremony’. It couldn’t be more true. The energy, calm and confidence we bring helps to set the tone for one of life’s most meaningful moments. It’s a beautiful reminder of the responsibility and privilege it is to stand alongside you, as you say ‘I do’.🤎

A huge shout out to our Queensland celebrants who made the trip south for The Celebrant Conference. ☀️🦩

The QLD crew came, they learned, they networked, they took notes... and then they reminded everyone that Queenslanders definitely know how to party.

From the presentations and networking sessions to the dance floor and after party, you brought great energy, plenty of laughs and fully embraced everything The Celebrant Conference had to offer. We loved seeing so many Queensland celebrants connecting with old friends, making new ones and getting involved in every part of the event.

A special shout out to our Queensland Local Leader @roxycelebrant. Whether she's mentoring celebrants, organising catch-ups, running events, answering questions, or helping keep our community connected, Roxy puts in an incredible amount of work behind the scenes. Queensland is lucky to have her and we're lucky to have her on the TCS team!!!

Thank you to all our Queensland attendees for making the trip to Melbourne and helping make The Celebrant Conference 2026 such a fantastic couple of days.
