I’m not an expert in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), but I believe anyone can make a difference. Social change has always been a priority for me, and recently, I’ve become more involved in sustainability.

As Robert Swan said, “The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.”

I firmly believe that we all have a role in finding and implementing solutions. Although the clock is ticking, it’s not too late to make meaningful contributions.

This is a clip from Seamless Middle East & Saudi Arabia, a 3-day conference at Dubai World Trade Centre, attracting over 25,000 attendees, focusing on the digital commerce landscape. More clips to follow 🎥

I look forward to continuing to collaborate with colleagues, clients, and others to build a better world.

Just like President @BarackObama, believing in yourself and your vision is vital. Your belief and achievements will inspire others to believe in you, but it all starts with you!

This is a clip of me speaking to a group of @BrookesforBusiness students in February, during a visit to the UK. As much as it was inspirational to those in the audience, it gave me the valuable opportunity to reflect on my own journey. During the vibrant Q&A, I admitted that I did not intend to accomplish the things that I have. My initial goal was to just find a good job in a good company.

I delved into the key lessons learnt during my 21 years in banking, the experiences leading to over 150 media interviews, mentoring, meeting Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, adapting to life in Dubai and more.

To my fellow @OxfordBrookes University alumni, I encourage you to consider contributing your time or resources in the near future.

Thank you Marco Dell’Anna and all the members of the @OxfordBrookesBusiness Society for the invitation. Keep pushing towards your goals, but remember to enjoy the journey!

“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” Michael Jordan

The most successful people have mastered the ability to overcome failure and recognise that it is a part of the achievement process, like I finally have.

Moments before this, you’d never guess I was quite anxious!

Despite my experience speaking on various topics across multiple countries, this was my first time providing insights on sustainability in the UAE from a banker’s perspective.

Feeling anxious or nervous is completely normal. What helps me is being prepared, addressing any concerns, and listening to songs from my Positive Vibes playlist.

This is an one minute clip from Seamless Middle East & Saudi Arabia, a 3-day conference at Dubai World Trade Centre, attracting over 25,000 attendees, focusing on the digital commerce landscape. More clips to follow 🎥

Challenging yourself to try something new can be daunting, but it’s the best way to grow and develop.
