We raised her today! 💫

Wow… what a job…

Ropes, poles, canvas, a fair bit of head scratching and more than a few “does this go here?” moments 🤔

But slowly.. piece by piece.. she came together.

There’s something so magical about watching a yurt rise.. a handmade structure designed for gathering, held together by tension, balance and patience.

She’s up!! Standing proudly in a little area of the moor.

We couldn’t be happier 😅

Massive thanks to everyone who gave up their time to help out.. we couldn’t have done it without YOU!

Now we just need to install the fire and make her all cosy from the inside out 🛖💛

Anama Village is beginning to bloom..!

Ever been inside a yurt? 🤫

There’s something about the cyclical structure that has an immediate effect…

No front
No back

Ancient in design

Just a circle of people sharing the same space 🕯️

We can’t wait to see this filled with creativity, quiet and magic ✨

Anama Village is becoming 🌿🔥

What would you love to experience in a space like this? Let us know in the comments! 🙏💛

Here’s a video of the crew putting together our new immersive geodome. Music is the track ‘Blue Clay’ by the amazing @marasimpsonmusic .

Thanks again to Staffordshire Moorlands County Council who have made this possible with a UKSPF Community Enterprise grant. Thanks also to @lotusdomes for the frame, @native_nomads_uk for the canvas cover, @maniwattsart for the set design, @csmithsound for the interstellar projection-mapping and finally @supportstaffordshire for help with planning.

It’s been several months of ups and downs, plans and failures, sewing, cutting, measuring, counting, praying, booking, building, painting, folding, stretching, sketching, drawing and dreaming… and we’re just about ready to take it on the road. Look out for it somewhere in the Staffordshire Moorlands this summer...

If you have any projects or events that could make use of a custom-made immersive geodome, with potential for projection-mapping and spatial audio, please get in touch.

@r_loomes will be returning to the Watts Russell Arms on Saturday evening for the first time since her performance at the first ever Lost in the Hills festival.

Sometimes barely a whisper is exuded and yet so much is said. R Loomes is surely one of Sheffield’s most precious jewels. Subtle and raw electric guitar and distant haunting vocals form Rachael Loomes’ distinctive doom-folk sound.

She’ll be opening for the fantastic neo-classical, nature-inspired @nomad_mcr collective, who will be bringing a quartet of voices and strings.

And opening the show is @araya.music . You might have caught her brilliant performance at Electric Daisy x Vibrant Sound in July, or her Creative Peaks debut at Lost in the Hills 23. She’s a fantastic young talent who draws from an eclectic pool of influences.

It’s going to be another beautiful evening under the tree canopy up on the terrace. See the link in bio for tickets or follow the link at www.creativepeaks.art/concerts

🍂Autumn Equinox Mini Retreat🍂
Thank you to the 11 souls who joined me yesterday for my last retreat of 2022 🙏🏻
🍁Together we connected to the Earth, gave thanks for her abundance of gifts, gave gratitude for what we allowed to grow and overcome throughout the lighter months but also just as the trees are shedding we looked at what we could release and let go of, how we can find more balance and begin to wind down and retreat as the wheel turns once more.
🍁We honoured grandfather sun for all of his light and reminded ourselves we all have a burning flame within that can illuminate our path as we move through darkness…
🍁Equinox blessings, may this new season bring love, abundance and joy but also stillness and reflection 🧡
A big Thank up to @native_nomads_uk for our beautiful yurt 🛖 my amazing husband who works behind the scenes to support me to bring to fruition the things I plan and a big high five to the brave ones who conquered the cold and stayed the night with me so we could wake up to the sunrise 🌞
Om shanti 🙏🏻
