POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
So much has happened since we recorded this, and it’s crazy to think it’s only been about a year. I wanted to let the video breathe for a while, and looking back now, I’m reminded of how much can change in such a short time.

Knowing it’s being shown in schools across America is honestly one of the most exciting and inspiring parts of all of this. When I get messages or emails from people who connect with my story, it reminds me this is bigger than just painting murals. It makes me feel like I’m doing something meaningful, and I’m really grateful for that.

Thank you, Natural High, for giving me that space. Working with you all was such a wonderful experience, and being surrounded by people who genuinely care about making a difference meant a lot. Sadly, since filming, I lost a friend I spoke about during my interview. Watching it now brings up a lot. Sharing this again is my way of reflecting on my journey, remembering my friend, and honoring the experiences that shaped me. It also feels like the right moment to look back, appreciate how far we’ve come, and get ready for the next chapter of Ground Floor Murals.

I’m incredibly thankful for all the people, opportunities, and collaborations along the way. Thank you to everyone involved, everyone who’s reached out, and everyone who continues to support what I do.

Here’s to another year of art, growth, meaningful connections, hard work, and collaborations throughout our city and beyond. Much love, and as always, stay grounded. ♄

This Skate across America livestream project was one of those ideas that pops in your mind and just doesn’t leave. I tried ignoring it for a while but the more I tried to the more it reeled me in.

Halfway through this I was faced with a few serious injuries that left me unable to see a version of this trip where I made it to the finish. I told myself that if I could stand up, then I could roll. Somehow after two weeks of brutal pain, it started to fade a bit and I was able to drag myself to the finish.

Bringing this into existence took everything I had and I am forever grateful to anyone who helped me do so. Thank you @adorama & @lastxwitness for believing in the mission before anyone else did.

This recap post feels impossible to complete because I received so much help and support along the way that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to name everyone and fully articulate how much it all meant to me.

Thank you all.
