there’s no right or wrong answer when it comes to competing in natural NPC shows vs. open shows. in fact I have clients in both camps and both types of show come with pros/cons.

what IS important is knowing the rules and regulations so you understand what’s allowed, what’s not, and what options are available to you 💫

pretty cool to see more opportunities for NPC competitors every year.

& SO dang proud of my own client @naturallykarie for CRUSHING it and Utah’s very first natural NPC competition ❤️‍🔥🎉

One week since Karie stepped on stage at the Viking Championships here in Salt Lake City with a STUNNING package! 💫🖤

This year marked the first time the show added a “natural” component, giving Karie the opportunity to compete against other natural athletes.

She took 1st in Masters AND 1st in Open against women of all ages 🏆🏆 (as a 46 year old mother of four mind you), while also holding her own in the overall against two younger competitors.

Being a natural athlete at her age with her muscle density is an accomplishment in itself, but the progress she made since her last show, especially in creating a more balanced bikini physique having come from crossfit has been phenomenal.

Karie also competed in the non-tested portions of the show, taking home a 3rd and 4th place! 🏆

The judges gave her incredibly positive feedback and a clear picture of what to continue working toward, along with confirmation that she is ready for the natural national stage.

As her coach, I am SO excited about her potential there. We weren’t playing around this prep and we CAME for this win. ❤️‍🔥

But more than the trophies, I’m proudest of Karie’s resilience. Not all preps are easy and her willingness to push herself to new levels, and the progress she continues to work for make her truly a one of a kind athlete, and I’m honored to coach her 🫶🏻

We want to congratulate our Viking Classic crew for a stellar performance (and share a bit behind the scenes on show day too!) Every detail makes a difference on stage, and we are so grateful to have to opportunity to help you bring them all together. ✨

Everyone maximized what they had on this day, including @lexii.wrightt who took the Fit Model Overall in both the natural and untested event under coach @carrielawlerhennessy and posing coach @instaannie.co. She also posed each and every one of these athletes, helping them bring polished presentation to the stage.

This is only the beginning and we’re so excited to help you each continue to grow into your next personal best! The sky is the limit and we are here to help you make it happen (while keeping your health and longevity in mind, too!)

Special thank you to our day of show support coaches: @carrielawlerhennessy @sami.g.fit @katiekeepsitreal @fitbliss_lynnds @instaannie.co

Big shout out to @officialssfitnessproductions, @beautybycatdavis @martinispraytan @protan_official @npcglamteam.ifbb

Today was our Viking Championships Team Posing hosted by our posing and presentation coach @instaannie.co, and prep coaches @sami.g.fit, @fitbliss_lynnds, @carrielawlerhennessy and special guest Fit Model Pro @hannahhlanae.

We went over first looks, comparison rounds, individual presentation, switching places on stage, walking to the back and walking across the stage. Everyone got fine tuned and are ready to execute.

We will have athletes competing across Bikini, Fit Model and Welness tomorrow and will also have athletes competeting in the inaugural drug-tested NPC event.

New and exciting things are happening on our local Utah scene and we are grateful to be apart of it. Thank you to @officialssfitnessproductions and @utahnpc for making it possible!

The work is done ladies. Now it’s time to execute, and have some fun!! ☺️❤️‍🔥
